PaPa & Grandson scratch built rocket

Thank You all. This picture didn't post yesterday, but it kind of says it all. The sun was shining bright and it was to bad temperature wise. My grandson will be 7 in three days, and yes, the best part is that we had fun together. Don't get to do this stuff often enough. Larry

PaPa & Grandson scratch built rocket

My oldest grandson and I built this scratch built rocket last week. Its built entirely out of non kit parts. I cut all the stuff out and he helped put it together and did most of the painting. Last minute I changed the streamer to a small chute. Flew it twice on an A10-3T and it flew very...

Its not your fault. I don't check TRF as often as I use to. I should have included my email address in my pm....Never would have guessed that my name would be drawn. I hope Andy enjoys his prize :)

    FAA Waiver Question.

Years back I applied for one and had no problem getting one. The paper work was nothing, but it did take a few weeks to get. At that time the FAA was real good about helping any way they could, but that was pre 911. Larry

    Tour de Deuce - Revamped!

The last two states are petty much covered, but I can't believe there is no one in the other four, (or maybe three if Oklahoma is covered) that doesn't want to fly these rockets. I don't remember what it cost to ship these, but I sure didn't think it was anywhere near $23.00...Is the box getting...

    Estes - Starship Vega Gallery

Just finished my Semroc Starship Vega(on the right). My Estes Starship Vega which I built in the 70s was rebuilt/refurbished in 2007. I probably won't fly the Estes one again, but can't wait to fly the new one. Larry

    Classmates

I did the classmates thing to for a while, but they won't let you do much if your not a paying member. I think a while back there was some kind of law suit going on that involved Classmates.com. I don't remember all the details though. Larry

    Wind Turbines

Kevin, I live east of Storm Lake and about 20 miles west of Fort Dodge, and they are now within two miles of my farm. This last fall 41 went up west and south of me. I heard it cost a little over 3 million a piece to put up. These are over 400 feet high with 90 foot blades. I watched them go...
