How do I apply 6oz/2oz fiberglass?

I have fiberglassed before, but only with a single weight of fiberglass. For the first time, I am going to use 6oz fiberglass followed by 2oz fiberglass to hide the weave. My assumption is that it would all go on during the same session, but I wanted to make sure. Your thoughts?

    CTI K660 Total Destruction

I've flown Aerotech reloads since 1999, but a dealer in Manchester had a CTI 54mm 6 grain case (not brand new, but it looked flawless, except for some wear on the aft retaining ring anodizing). I believe in supporting the vendors that attend launches and bought the case even though I had always...

    Igniter flapping in the wind?

My ignition timer for starting the second stage is going to be located in the avionics bay with the leads running down a conduit, out the aft centering ring of the second stage, then up into the motor. After the motor starts, I have this vision of the igniter trailing along after the rocket...

    Airstarting a CTI I100

I designed a two-stage rocket with the sustainer powered by a CTI I100. I have always used Aerotech motors, but I had heard how easy it was to light a CTI motor, I figured I would give it a try. I haven't been able to find a lot about this particular motor, but I was reading about the K300 and...

Narrow Centering Ring Shock Cord Attachment

I am starting a 3" rocket with a 54mm motor mount. The distance from the ID of the airframe to the OD of the motor mount is about 3/8 of an inch. What's the best way to attach the shock cord? Thanks in advance.

How about this for Kevlar(r) shock cord?

I have been looking for some lightweight yet strong shock cord material for a two-stage rocket I am planning. 3mm Kevlar(r) generally has an advertized strength of 1500 lbs among the various sites I have visited. I found this...

    Dual Deploy Newb Questions

I got my Level 1 & 2 without dual deploy, so now it's time to try it out. I am building a Loc Big Nuke 3E. Everything seems to be going along well but I have these two questions: 1. I have the charge wells from Dog House Rocketry. Does the e-match go through the open end of the charge well or...
