Table of Major Regional and National Launches

Oregon Rocketry launches for 2024 are on this page: https://www.oregonrocketry.org/calendar/public-launches/ This year’s HP schedule adds a new event in November out in Brothers! We don’t know how well the weather will co-operate for this one, but we’re going to give it a chance. AP Showers...

    Holiday sales - 2023

I'm deliberating having my non-Haz parts sent now, or waiting for the Haz to come in and ship all together. I can wait for motors, but the nonHaz stuff has to arrive before building can get started. ...as if I'm out of build pile kits.

    Rocketman Enterprises

At last, the final line item from my Black Friday order with Rocketman arrived today, a few days after the deadline I gave Buddy to have it in my hands before I initiated a charge-back for the undelivered items. Buddy told me last Monday that it shipped out that day, but USPS didn't receive it...

Using two FeatherWeight Trackers with one Ground Station

I posted this elsewhere, but for anyone in the future that doesn't see that post, here it is in this thread: I updated to Android app version 1.0.5 (270) and am VERY well pleased. I'm now unable to recreate the difficulty with making and maintaining Bluetooth connections with my devices, and...

New Featherweight GPS phone app available for Android and iOS

I updated to Android app version 1.0.5 (270) and am VERY well pleased. I'm now unable to recreate the difficulty with making and maintaining Bluetooth connections with my devices, and having a list of all my paired devices is an excellent touch. Live mapping is just perfect. With this update...

Using two FeatherWeight Trackers with one Ground Station

That's certainly not my experience with my Samsung S23 Ultra, Samsung's flagship phone from last year, so I suspect more than a few people would have it. I'll document my experiences when I have some more time.

Using two FeatherWeight Trackers with one Ground Station

Adrian, Is there a Windows app I can use with the GS? I like to run a non-handheld GS with a fixed antenna to capture flights as redundancy with my other trackers. Also, with a PC GS there's far less chance of switching to another app then having to wait to re-connect via Bluetooth to the GS...

    Rocketman Enterprises

I called and left a Voicemail with Buddy this morning, inquiring about not only the Chute Release that Buddy noted on the packing slip as "sent separately" but also a few packs of bulkhead wire retainers that were not included in the order. I also emailed, and mentioned the email in the...

    Rocketman Enterprises

Indeed.... after the parcel circled around the region for a few days, it finally landed. It contained most of my order. I'm guessing the Jolly Logic chute release was drop shipped from Mr. Beans, as Buddy noted that it was sent separately on the order printout.

    Rocketman Enterprises

It might be possible that the parcel I can see inbound on my USPS Informed Delivery from St Paul, MN might be my Black Friday order. But I wouldn't know for sure, because Buddy hasn't responded to any form of communication from me, or contacted me at all... AT ALL since I received the order...

    3D Printing Filament dryer recommendations/Experiences

I've also used the large storage boxes. These ones in fact, which have a foam seal around the edge. The seal is not air-tight, and moisture will ingress, requiring you to recharge your dessicant much more frequently than a vacuum bag and dessicant on each spool. I do keep my bagged spools...

    3D Printing Filament dryer recommendations/Experiences

Here's what I do to dry and keep dry my filament. It's what I've done for the past 7 years. My secret weapon against moisture - 3A molecular sieves. 3A molecular sieves are the strongest desiccant I can readily find, and they're thirsty down to 0%RH with excellent retention, unlike Silica gel...

The last time I made a comparison between the two, it was edited out of my post by mods.

Exciting New Rocketry Products Coming Soon - We Need Your Feedback!

I've ordered from that other vendor a couple months ago... and ever since my credit card was charged, I haven't received any communication or delivery of goods from them. And yes, I've reached out to them... but that's not the topic here. Going back a few years now, my communications with Ben...

Exciting New Rocketry Products Coming Soon - We Need Your Feedback!

I'm interested in Kevlar soft links. Metal quick links are bulky, heavy, and... metal.

Looks like I'm not the only one being given the silent treatment. I placed a Black Friday order on the rocketman website, and despite inquiries, it's been crickets.

    Hysol Applicator Gun

I agree with Titan II and RocketPro. I have had excellent experience with Loctite Hysol 9462. In the past I've purchased it from McMaster, Amazon, and R.S. Hughes.

New Featherweight GPS phone app available for Android and iOS

It's nice to have the option to see flight tracks on the map, but as part of pre-flight checks, I would really like to see the current/live position of the tracker on the map, not just the direction/altitude/distance.

Lowest cost Nomex Chute Protectors! If you find a better price from a competitor, we'll beat it!

Does the laser cutting process fuse the cut edges? From the photos it just looks like a raw fabric edge.
