Thanks for the info, that helps. The vinyl decals look good, but I think that's a bit much to spend for this project. Although I do like the pirate-themed one and the rebel-themed one. I might invest in one of those for a future build.

Anyone ever use engine enamel to paint a rocket? I couldn't find the right shade of a color I wanted with the regular paint, but I did find it in Rustoleum engine enamel. The plan is to spray a plastic nose cone (after priming). Can I use regular Rustoleum gloss clear coat over it? I don't know...

I just noticed this thread. Very useful info here. I have the same 2167 kit with the red plastic parts. I bought it years ago and never built it. Yours turned out really nice. By the way... you'll post pictures from your motorcycle trip in the Watering Hole, right? :)

That's what I was thinking. I've got some multiples of sport/fantasy models waiting to be built and I thought I'd make each one unique. Except for the Silver Comet. I've got two of those and I haven't decided if I'll paint them the same or do something different with them.

If you like to build more than one of the same rocket, do you give them all the same paint job? Or do you make each one unique?
