    Visual Drift Distance Calculator

Yes, the assumption is straight up, but you can touch the circle and drag to re-position if needed. Some others have suggested dual-deployment calc as well, and I definitely see the use for it. I'll try to incorporate into the next update. Also thinking through something, from another...

    Visual Drift Distance Calculator

I just finished a new free rocketry tool. It's available in the Google Play store now, and will be on the Apple Appstore once it's approved. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmail.pstanley002.drift_distance_calc&hl=en This calculates drift distance, based on given altitude...

Rocket Calculator motor data issue fixed

I added the Aerotech DMS motors in the last update, posted on 8/20/14. Yesterday I noticed an issue with the DMS K and L motors. I submitted an update last night to fix this. It'll be available as soon as Apple approves. Sorry for the mess-up. Peter

    Hershey Kiss Heart Rocket

I was going to discard this the other day, as all the candy had been eaten. I thought it might make an interesting oddroc. Has anyone built anything with one of these? Also, I'm not sure which end will be up if I make it. The heart at the top would look good. The heart at the bottom would...

Best knot for line to line -- kevlar to nylon

Albright and Nail knots are great for lines of unequal diameter. Either of those might be a good solution. Peter

    USB Flash Drive Camera

Just got mine today. It looks easy enough to use. I'll need to make a note of the turn on/record/save/turn off sequence while it's fresh on my mind, or else I'll forget at the field. It feels a little heavier than the keychain cam, but I do like the slim profile and ability to plug directly into...

    USB Flash Drive Camera

The estimated delivery on mine is showing the 26th. Maybe it'll be here sooner than that.

I just ordered one too. I'll compare notes with you after mine gets here.

    USB Flash Drive Camera

Has anyone tried one of USB flash drive cameras sold on eBay? They have the same profile as a thumb drive, with the camera pointing out one end, which makes it ideal. I've used the keychain cameras with good success, and I think this is probably the same thing, or similar. It does have motion...

    Scratch built "Priority Mail"

Here's a rocket I made with a 2" mail tube and a plastic kids meal toy. It has a dual 24mm motor mount. I called it Cloudy with a Chance of Turbulence. The wrap was made with white adhesive paper that I printed clouds onto.

I think support for data acquisition at the field is key. It looks like that's where you're headed, based on the screenshot you shared. I can't wait to see what you come out with!

Bringing Black Powder to a launch

Zipfizz containers work well. I've seen them at Sams Club in packs of 20. There's a picture of one in this post https://www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?31050-Containers-for-small-quantities-of-BP-(Black-Powder)
