    Adhesive Vinyl for a Circut

I use Oracal 651 and 751 on my rockets as well as outdoor signs, etc. I have flown vinyl decorated rockets to beyond Mach1 without a loosing it. However, you want the edges to be sealed pretty good at that speed.

    Schurter switches for flight computers

I think the twin engine airplane compared to redundant switches is a non sequitur. Apples and Oranges so to speak. I am a bit skeptical of those failure statistics also. does the poster have a source for those numbers? I'm an aviation guy. Also, the premise that ".......switches are so...

    R/C BG Help

I have used 3M Brand 77 Spray Adhesive for foam wing cores for years. Initial placement is critical since once the two surfaces touch there is no repositioning. The regular white and aliphatic resin glues need air to dry and take forever to dry on sheeting jobs. Epoxy cures nicely but can be...

    EZI65 level 2 anyone?

I saw an EZI launched on an L something. I noticed that recovery took a very long time. It returned home good as new. I would have sworn that the fins would have had issues. Great job Tim! You know who you are.

WHY are there so many sizes of launch lugs??

According to my recollection: As High Power rocketry advanced to larger rockets and motors accessories got bigger but not necessarily better. Before clubs started moving to rails there were rods. As rockets got bigger, lugs and rods got bigger. 1/2" rods have been mentioned but does anyone...

What did you do rocket wise today?

That looks like our Tripoli Mid Ohio launch on Saturday. Who says you can't launch rockets in the Winter?

    Is it just me ??

I cleaned up my shop recently. Actually, I was looking for a motor case but that's a different story. I found seven Number one hobby knife handles of various persuasions. What bothers me is I have no idea where the other half dozen or so are. ;) Hey I work in a hobby shop and they're cheap.

    Altimeter Switches

The magnetic switches use one pole of the magnet to turn them on and the other to turn them off. I usually put mine on opposite sides of the e-bay but if your rocket is small in diameter you could turn one on and one off at the same time. Most of my rockets are 4" or larger so I have no...

    FAA Waiver

This is the first year I have emailed our request in. I heard back almost immediately that they had received it. This was not an auto reply but from an actual person and it was the same day. Within just a few days our request was approved and attached to an email. I like this much better...

WILDMAN/CRAZY JIM Flying circus launching 27ft "MEGA" DarkStar at LDRS....."O" my!

Congrats Tim. I witnessed both flights and both were successful in their own way. With the safety requirements and the electronics available today, combined with your ability to put it all together, the first flight did just as it should have notwithstanding the "glitch" of the case burning...

Why join the NAR as a casual low power sport flyer?

This is in response to another post and so not directly on topic. I'm trying to make a point but if this is not seen as helpful, please feel free to remove this post. Bear with me and I will try to swing around to the topic as soon as possible. I understand where you are coming from. I have...

So what other hobbies besides rocketry do folks here do?

hob·by /ˈhäbē/ noun 1. an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure: "her hobbies are reading and gardening" 2. a small horse or pony. I have never heard of the 2nd definition by the way. I find it a little extreme that we have to justify calling what "...is done...
