    Holiday sales - 2023

Always fun to open up a box, delivered today, from an order made months ago and savor the future memories. Definitely worth the wait. Will follow up with ground and onboard camera shots to capture the excitement of launches with these. Tim - nice to visit with you at the recent LUNAR launch at...

What did you do rocket wise today?

Yesterday, I happened across a Hobby Lobby and found these $14.99 Estes Leapers at 90% off - so I bought them all. Look forward to paying forward with some young ones at an upcoming launch. A drag race could be a fun. Can't believe that Estes MSRP was $24.99 for these!

    Max Speeds with Cardboard

Launched and successfully recovered an Estes Partizon on an AT I200. The JL Altimeter 2 indicated over Mach 1 but OR calculated 561 mph - still pretty fast for that thin wall tubing. https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/loc-vulcanite-vs-estes-partizon-build-challenge.66012/page-4

    I miss Polecat Aerospace

Maybe its time to bring it out of storage for Dairy Aire... Anyone have a spare good-sized K motor reload to donate to the cause? Donor gets a ride for a critter skydiver or two as part of the deal.

Can HPR survive with $100 J motors?

Last check of inventory showed that J motors account for only 4% of the personal inventory. A stash of G's reign supreme and will likely last for years to come. Even with the recent price hikes, there are needs to be filled. A recent new local dealer discount offer pulled the trigger for an...

Need Help with Payloader II Details

Is this what you are looking for? I can measure the two pieces that make up a fin and send you the dimensions, if that's what you need. It's from a 1971 Centuri Rocketeer's Outfit (http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/catalogs/centuri71d/71dcen10.html) that got me fun bore into model rocketry at the...

    Wildman's Super Saturday Sale

Spent 30 clams again to see behind the curtain. With a wish list prepared, and a stock of 500 bags, tubes and boxes of propellant in the garage, it was fun to see what kits were new and what motivators would get them and the current fleet to altitude. Given costs these days, it ended up being a...

    Free 10" Thumper

Thirsty setting the igniter. Launch! Scary moment when the booster fell through the inflated chute, but it reinflated. The skydiving stuffed bear free fell to 500 ft, pulled the ripcord and made a successful landing not far from the Thumper. A good day overall!

    Free 10" Thumper

This Saturday, March 5, at Snow Ranch is planned for a shake down flight of the shorty Thumper (no E-bay). It took 6 lbs of BBs in the nose to balance, some adapter pieces to fit a 54mm case in a 98mm hole and the installation of an altimeter in the nose cone for chute and skydiver deployment at...
