Hi! I'm making a Freedom 7 version of the re-issued Estes Mercury Redstone kit and I have everything except a white "FREEDOM 7" decal at 1/35th scale (the kit comes with the "LIBERTY BELL 7" decal). Does anyone have 1 or 2 of these to spare or can anyone make 2 for me? I'm willing to spend up...

I switched to Plastistruct Plastic Weld and I haven't been able to pull any of the pieces off (even when I made a mistake). Just be sure to clean off the old cement first. Brandon

It is. I cut off the conical part and used the bottom part with a custom-made transition. Sorry I wasn't more clear.

Grab an Estes Nike Smoke - it has a transition and body tube. The fin profile might be different but it makes for a nice upscale. Here is my kitbash with a Nike Smoke and a D-Region Tomahawk: Brandon

I mainly used the attached picture, Peter Alway's Rockets of the World, the Estes kit #1958 instructions, and the FSI kit instructions to add the extra details. I had originally planned to spray it with dullcote to give it a more realistic finish, but it's just too pretty.

It is a great looking rocket and a fun flight. My 3-year old daughter saw it and is "forcing" me to make her a mini der pink max. Sandman's decals are on the way!
