Building (by accident) a year ahead of time

Yup, that is what I meant. :) All loaded fine. The only thing I could really think of that might be a point of failure was rings. Thanks for the response.

Building (by accident) a year ahead of time

I had planned on launching two AT G45s about a year ago but with all the craziness I never did. They have been sitting in the rocket shed since then. I assume the potential failures associated with sitting are the washers and the lube. . . anything else? Should I disassemble and check before...

    WilsonFX rocks

I got a single pad wireless WFX system from Brad this week. Boy oh boy if you are looking for a single pad system or a multipad system look no further. Excellent build quality, beautiful design, and truly remarkable customer service from Brad. I'm really pleased!

Dual deployment ejection (point of failure)

I'd like to do my launch build on a couple of dual deploy rockets a couple of weeks before launch because of some personal timing issues (obviously I'll do the engine build on site). I am mildly concerned about the following and am looking for some ideas to solve the concern. Specifically, I...

    Jager M42 HPR launch apd

Apogee sells the M42 launch pad. It looks well built and I like that it is partially made from aluminum which will obviously help with the carrying weight. Has anyone used this pad and, if so, thoughts about it? I've wanted a good replacement HPR pad for some time and was thinking about the...

Tamiya Metallic Blue TS spray paint and avionics

From time to time I hear folks say that metallic paints can interfere with outgoing signals from your GPS, etc. I'm thinking of using Tamiya Metallic Blue TS spray paint for part of my L3 rocket but have some mild concern about the above. Anyone ever had an issue with this? Or is it...

Palookaville (L3 certification attempt) --- Build thread

Time to start the thread. My L3 certification attempt will be based on a Hawk Mountain Enterprises Proteus and powered, probably, by Loki Research M2550 on 76/6000 hardware. I received the green light from my L3CC on the Proteus and basic configuration. Alan at HME is machining my kit...

    Altus Telemetrum replacement battery

I did and they got right back to me. I ordered two 3.7v 850 mAh from Sparkfun. But, I've got to follow bdale's one-sheet on removing the circuit board before I use them. Doesn't look to bad.

[V0.8]Featherweight Interface Program for Mac (official)

I'm planning on using a Raven for my secondary on my L3, but I'm a pure mac guy. Has anyone successfully used the PC Featherweight program with VMWare Fusion? USB connectivity can sometimes be tricky with VMWare but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
