We have a couple diamond, or nayoya 805 SMA-M we use with our Altus Metrums. Not much gain at 3dbi, but extremely compact.
Why the sma-rp when virtually all 2m/70cm handhelds use sma antennas? Doesn't that severely limit antenna selection?

Here's an interstage coupler using 3D printing backed up by birch plywood.
I picked up a hot air soldering station for $38 off eBay. That, and a syringe full of solder paste makes all the difference assembling eggtimers....
I 3D print centering rings, then use them as a template to make plywood ones on a router table with a pattern bit.
The 38mm was decertified. The cone extended beyond the nozzle and sometimes Cato'd motors.
