Estes Oracle

Has anyone bought an Estes Oracle yet. I have one and I have am having problems with TwainApp software that came with rocket. I can not get software to run on my computer. Has anyone else had any problems. Does anyone know of any other software that can be used to download the video. Thanks

Two of our club members have the Oracle. They are running Windows XP home edition on their laptops, and they seem to be running just fine. No compatability issues that I'm aware of.

My operating system is XP on home computer. Probaly missing a windows file for the problem. Camera works with other two programs that is on cd. When I try to run TwainApp, it says initalizing camera, then box pops up and says DG_CONTROL/DAT_IDENTITY/MSG_OPENDS at top and "Unknown return code" inside of box.

Don't forget to install all available Microsoft patches/fixes/upgrades/updates for XP (and Office if you have that).

I haven't bought one yet, but been thinking about it

I saw one 2weeks ago at UKRA2005! Looks awesome, might think about getting one actually.

Could someone upload a video from the rocket, so I can see what the quality is like?

Just got mine yesterday and am very impressed with it. My question is how do you download and watch the video as the instructions are not quite clear enough in my opinion.

I was kind of expecting a booklet, not just a few simple steps.

Got mine this week. I have Windows 2000. Just popped in the CD and everything just downloaded fine and quickly. Tried my Oracle (hand held and shooting the backyard) and it worked well and surprised me with the quality of the video.
Became a member of the Yahoo group ... but cannot get the posted videos to work!

After a few in-house tests, I noticed that the camera emits a faint sound during the green flashing period and during filming. There is also a LED display near the lens that displays 00. If you run it a second time without shutting it off first, the number then becomes 01. Anybody else notice this? Mine records also for 39 seconds.
