Well ladies and Gentalmen. its been almost 5 years stickershock has been running Great and I have EVERYONE here at TRF to thanks for that..

BUT I have some kinda sad news.... Now don't worry yet.

Up till now I have been working part time and stickershock the rest of the time. and this has done ok. BUT I have been offered a REALLY nice job in my normal trade (I am an electrician) making really good money.

At this point in my life I feel I have to cut stickershock back a bit and take this opportunity while I can. Bad news is its at LEAST 40 hrs a week.

So what does this mean for stickershock???

Here is what I see happening.. FIRST I wont be able to fill orders daily.. that is for sure.. For now I plan on filling orders on the weekends.. we will see if I can squeeze more in there during the week but DO NOT COUNT ON IT..

The website will stay the same BUT again I will probably only fill orders on the weekend. so if you need something in a rush PLEASE Plan WELL AHEAD. I'm sorry but I just wont be able to rush things out as I used to..

CUSTOM WORK.. up till now custom orders were a good part of the jobs coming in.. and I had the time to just sit around and design things up.. I almost NEVER charged for my time to design for you.. That is going to have to change..

Things like custom lettering no problem still no charge.. Simple Hey I need flames for this rocket.. no charge. but if it starts to get to the point where I need to sit down and really work at it I will tell you before I start and give you a rate to do the designing for you.. sorry that just has to be the way it is... remember ANY other sign, graphics place will do the same.. you take time to draw something up you get charged for the designers time and talent..

For now I am not sure what I am going to charge for design time, but I will tell EVERYONE before I start what that will be.

E-Mails.. I will try to answer e-mails as often as I can.. hopefully daily.. but NO PROMISES..

I am so sorry I have to make this change... I thought about it LONG AND HARD before I accepted this job.. BUT I think as a community we can make this work.. I still promise to make the BEST quality decals for your rockets. and I will do my best to ship them out in a timely manner.. I promise to give the same great service Stickershock has always provided and keep making your rockets exactly what you want them to be!

I start early next week, so if you need something in a hurry PLEASE get to me in the next couple days. I will get it out ASAP!

lastly... I am in the process of changing shipping options on the website.. til now Priority shipping has been the norm but I am going to add an additions first class option. this will save a few dollars and help make it so you are not paying priority for something has to sit on my desk before it is ready to ship!

Thank you again for all the support over the years. I could not have done this without this great community!

Heres to many more years of Stickershock and "never flying naked"

any questions or problems please shoot me an e-mail I'll do my best to get back to you ASAP..

You gotta do what you gotta do brother, don't toast yourself!

Don't worry about it. You will still produce decals at a faster rate, at higher quality and with much less frustration than I would be able to do for myself with an xacto knife. I have been and will remain a loyal, happy customer.

Congrats on the new gig also.

Mark,

Congratulations on the new job. Most of us work full time, so we can't reasonably begrudge you for doing the same. Our hobbies come next. Until you have enough work for StickerShock to be your full time job, we will understand.

Congrats on the new job! Got to grab the good ones when they come along!!!!

We all understand, you have to do what is best for you and your family. I will remain a loyal customer. Will just have to plan earlier on in the build process what I want to do for decals, but that is not a big deal on my end. I can wait for good quality product.

Excellent news for you. I will also remain a lifelong customer.
One question you didn't address; any chance we will see you at MWP?
Don't overdo anything. Life is short, do what you must and enjoy the rest.

Congrats on the new job. I thought I would mention something my boss mentioned to me years ago. "If you skip lunch there's 24 1/2 hours in a day".
Seriously, like others have said, I'll just plan out a bit more in advance. Hope you can make it out to MWP this year again.

Hey Mark,

Congratulations on the new job. I run a home business too and put a lot of pressure on myself to get every order out the next day, but the reality is that MOST people will be happy if you mail out your orders every Monday. Those that are not will either be willing to pay more or go elsewhere. I would put something to the effect of "All orders ship out on the next Monday" in big bold print right at the top of your main web page and at the top of your order form.

Good luck!

Chris

The single most important thing is for you to do what's best for you and your family, and it sounds to me like that's exactly what you're doing!

Congratulations on your new job! My new builds will just have to fly naked, until you send the vinyl...

Kindest regards,
Leo

Mark,

It's always best to take care of family first and a full time job is definitely a step in that direction. We know you will do your best to keep us supplied with great looking decals. Best of luck with the new job.

You're still my go-to guy. You're the best!

Good luck in your new job.

Thanks guys for all the great words! It means a TON to me..

I actually worked for this company several years ago.. I left to work for Aerotech.... (grinds teeth....) going back will be a breeze except now I will be foreman so lots more responsibility!

Way to go Mark. It's about time that good things come to those who DESERVE it!

P1010117.jpgcongrats I'll have to hurry up and finish then get my order in

It won't change how much I use your site one bit. Service as good as yours is worth waiting for. Good luck in the new job.

Family and self first. Then Stickershock. If we waited until the last minute then shame on us. Money helps other things happen, be safe at the new job.

Mark- Happy for ya, man! Doesn't change a thing for me-like others have said, you're still the "goto" man! Hope to see you at Octoberfest or ROC40. Just down the road from my SIL so I'll give you a buzz when in Utah. Tale care of business, brother-it's all good!
