Driving down I-35 yesterday I ran into heavy traffic, the cause was a Shelby GT500 that had been sandwiched between two semis. It had to be at least a foot shorter on each end, obviously totaled. As a fellow Shelby owner, I did the only thing I could. I pulled over and went to the car. Then I stared into the headlights before looking up and screaming to let heaven know a warrior was coming.

My friend from high school still has his '68 bought for $2000 in '75...worth a veritable fortune now :p

My uncle bought his '68 GT 500 KR about that time. What a purchase as they soared in price in the late 70's. Now they are just ridiculously priced. Last year a GT 350H parked in front of the office. Had to go out and see Shelby's signature on the glove box.

I'll be sure to say a prayer for the owner, Lord knows he probably needs it.
