I was just about to ask myself. I've never heard of them before. What are they used for?

They are bright. Here is mine in a 4" NC. Best night lights around. I'll buy another one! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5xw-uvuPrs&list=UUblhadwa7btSBJj7_QfueSg

^ Is that a special cone or just a plastic one? That looks great.

It's sort of opaque polystyrene. Not the regular white type. I got it from dlb.

Yes this pass has:
3 watt RGB (Red, Green and Blue) LED
new 15 degree translucent Lens( throws more light into the Airframe or Nose Cone)
about 30 different patterns of light to select from, via a shunt.
1.25 x 1.25 x 1.5 inch board ( Fits 54mm and up, and if you remove the mounting standoffs and cut tab ( will fit a 38mm tube))
Powered by a 9 volt battery, Pattern depending can last for 4 to 5 hours.

I just make these for the Promotion of Night launch rocketry and that it can be a lot of fun.
Really don't make much , cover my cost and their a 1/3 the cost elsewhere.
$35.00 each , plus shipping
15 will be available shortly, waiting for the standoffs to arrive.
NOT YET.......... just giving a heads up, the last time they were gone fast ( 20 mins. ).............

I put mine [older version]in the payload shining up into the NC. This gave me 2.5feet of lighted rocket, it looks like a florescent shop light it's so bright. Readily visible to 1.5 to 2 miles in the air!

My best shot was to 9667 ft and landed 1.7 miles away....could see it all the way.

Actually easier to find them at night due to the lights.....

Within 50 ft of it & it hurts your eyes at night it's so bright. Can't wait to see this new brighter one.

I saw Bill's rocket at last years High Frontier night launch in Pawhuska, OK. It was very bright indeed.

I would love to get in line for one of these too. I have the NC and fiberglass tube ready and waiting.

I guess it would be close to saying the sale will start Sunday evening, 8ish, gone this weekend and next weekend is a Launch in Orangeburg.
I received over 20 PM's so far
WOW, better make some more! hahahaha

First come first served bases, Except from those that have Purchased the NC/AF combo's from me, they get to jump line.

I will be making more in the next few weeks.

I did not get a reply to my PM. I asked a few questions.

I did not get a reply to my PM. I asked a few questions.

This is not a kit, no tubes or nose cones are involved(that would be the deal of a lifetime), just the Nitebow and mounting parts are for sale.

I have answered no PM's as of yet, Not till the sale starts, then I will deal with the Mayham.:y:
