Well, through a series of events, well, mainly two: 1) now not having enough room in my closet and, 2) my wife hating t-shirts, I have decided to post a decade's worth of rocket t-shirts. Although this may not rival the The Great Kit Liquidation Sale, many rocketeers I know value a great t-shirt, especially if it is unique. Well, I have a few that I will be listing here in the next few posts that you may all enjoy. I believe it is better to have these in the hands of others to enjoy than sit forever in my closet. But first a bit of a general description, pricing, shipping, payment, etc.

First, I would describe these all as new or "near new" t-shirts--27 of them. All these shirts have been worn between zero and three times with most being worn one time or never. They are all laundered/clean and thus pre-shrunk. They simply just hang in my closet and take up space. It is not that I don't like them and, for sure they have great memories, I just seldom wear t-shirts (see #2 above :)).

Second, they are all from highly regarded sources and are of high quality including the screening and brand of shirts. They are mostly from regional and national club launches. Some are from manufacturers and/or were custom designed/ordered by myself. Shirts are a mix of large and XL sizes which will be detailed with each listing.

Third, most were purchased for between $15 to $25 new. Pricing for the shirts will be $5 for one, $8 for two, $10 for three and $3/each for all those above three per single order/shipment. So they are a bargain. Payment by check or money order preferred, Paypal will be accepted with a 3% upcharge. First PM to hit my inbox on a shirt and/or group of shirts wins it with a caveat. I will be giving some preference to those ordering larger lots of shirts so the buyer can save on shipping and bundling. This will be done at my discretion, but, for example if a person PM's for a shirt "A" and 10 minutes later I get a PM for three shirts, "A", "C" and "G" then I will give the nod to the second PM on shirt "A" so they can get the lower price and better combined shipping cost overall.

Fourth, shipping will be paid by the buyer. Please don't pay me (if you already know my Paypal address) until I provide you a total with shipping. Each shirt weighs approximately 9 oz. and will be sent USPS from 47928. To get an idea of shipping ranges I have provided the table below (all prices approximate):

To L.A. for one shirt - Parcel Post: $3.75, Priority: $5.80
To L.A. for 2 or 3 shirts - Parcel Post: $8.90, Priority: $10.25
To L.A. for 4 or 5 shirts - Parcel Post: $10.80, Priority: $12.90
To L.A. for 6 or 7 shirts - Parcel Post: $12.05, Priority: $16.45 (may be better sent in medium or large standard box if six fit

To Cleveland for one shirt - Parcel Post: $3.75, Priority $5.80
To Cleveland for 2 or 3 shirts - Parcel Post or Priority: $6.15
To Cleveland for 4 or 5 shirts - Parcel Post or Priority: $7.60
To Cleveland for 6 or 7 shirts - Parcel Post or Priority: $8.90

OK, that should be enough background, now onward and upward... I hope you enjoy and find some "gems" in these listings.

First group (or two) are shirts from a small regional launch put on every year around the 4th of July by CIA (Central Illinois Aerospace) called GARLO (Great American Rocket Launch). If you don't know CIA, these guys are a small group of characters that meet religiously every month to discuss and fly rockets. One of the best small clubs around. But, I tell you, they really put thought and planning into everything they do, including the "quirky" shirts they produce every year for GARLO. Some of my favorites of the bunch are included here. Hope you enjoy.

I will do these in reverse chronological order. First is 2011 with the theme "Flights of Fancy" showing Icarus nearing the sun. Nice tan shirt with white/yellow/orange screening; brand Hanes; size XL.

T-Shirts 005.jpg

Second, 2010, with the theme "The Year We Make Contact" with a Space Odyssey look to the Jupiter planet screen. Black with multi-color screen; brand Gildan; size XL. (SOLD)

T-Shirts 032.jpg

Third, 2009, with the theme "Destination Moon" commemorating the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11, complete with famous JFK quote. Light blue in color with white/red/black screen; brand Hanes; size XL. (SOLD)

T-Shirts 029.jpg

Fourth, 2007, with the theme "The Golden Age of Model Rocketry" commemorating NAR 1957 to 2007. Almost a mustard color with black/light yellow and red screen; brand Hanes, size XL.

T-Shirts 019.jpg

Fifth, 2006, with the theme "Cluster's Last Stand" highlighted by large, unique Mad Magazine (-like) cartoon. Tan color with black/red/white screen; brand Hanes, size XL. (SOLD)

Next two up are from DARS (Dallas Area Rocket Society). DARS is one of the oldest rocket clubs around and has a great following with many experienced rocketeers as members. They don't do too many shirts, but when the do, they are nice and traditional.

First is "Born Again Rocketeer" with an Estes reference. Shirt is heather gray with a yellow/blue/red screen; brand Hanes; size XL.

T-Shirts 026.jpg

Second is a DARS club shirt with their famous logo on the back. Heather gray; front and back screen with back in blue/red/yellow/black; brand Hanes; size XL.

Just an idea if you don't sell the shirts. My daughter ran track in high school and college, she had a lot of shirts and she made a quilt out of them. She just cut the printed section from each shirt to a size lets say 12X12" put them all together and made a very nice quilt and still had her memories of her tack events.

Next up are some from national launches (trying to find my LDRS25 shirt from last launch at Amarillo, but still looking)...

First is LDRS27 in Argonia put on by Kloudbusters. Most know that Kloudbusters puts on some of the best launches in the nation, but fewer know that they put out some of the best looking shirts around! This one navy in color with a bright, multi-color screen (front/back); brand Gildan; size XL. (SOLD)

T-Shirts 024.jpg T-Shirts 025.jpg

Next from LDRS30 also in Argonia. This one with a beautiful, multi-color "aerial" view of rockets launching. Color is tan; screen multi-color--with both sides color!; brand Gildan; size XL. (SOLD)

T-Shirts 017.jpg T-Shirts 018.jpg

Also from LDRS30, a shirt from a top vendor, Rocketry Warehouse. Cool red/black screening (two-sided) on a heather gray; brand Hanes, size XL. (SOLD)

T-Shirts 022.jpg T-Shirts 023.jpg

Last in this group is a shirt from NSL2007 held in Muncie Indiana. Nice Interceptor photo screen on front with white sponsor screen on back (note on this one the white screen on the back seems a little thick and you can see "cracking" in the lettering). Color light gray; brand Gildan; size XL. (SOLD)

Now on to some bigger regional launches... First up Thunderstruck 3 (still called 2012 at that time). Great looking black shirt with Midwest landscape and rocket motif in orange/brown/white screen (also front chest logo). Brand Hanes; size XL. (SOLD)

T-Shirts 027.jpg T-Shirts 028.jpg

Next Thunderstruck 4. A striking deep purple with red/white screen front and back--very nice! Brand Gildan; size XL. (SOLD)

T-Shirts 010.jpg T-Shirts 012.jpg

Next Airfest 19 (yes, from only a couple months ago). Royal blue shirt with another signature brightly colored Kloudbusters work of art as the screen. Brand Gildan; size XL. (SOLD)

T-Shirts 037.jpg

Next Midwest Power X from last year. Light blue with blue/red/white screen front and back. Brand Gildan; size XL. (SOLD)

T-Shirts 033.jpg T-Shirts 034.jpg

Final one of this group brings me nearly to tears. It is the "unofficial" Midwest Power 11 "duck" shirt (yes, from only a week ago!!!). This one is a classic, and my selling it is meant to be no disrespect to "Don" Claude "The Connection" as he did a fabulous job on this shirt, but alas, all must go. This is dark gray with red/yellow and orange screen front and back. Brand Hanes; size XL. Needless to say, this one has never been worn--I'm sure about that and it is so, SO nice. (SOLD)

Next "In Thrust We Trust" in bold lettering on a dark gray shirt; white/black/red/yellow screen; brand Gildan; size XL.

T-Shirts 035.jpg

I like Tee Shirts.

Dibs on "Rocket Surgeon" and the first and last two in the next post up(Thunderstruck2012/MWPX/MWP Duck!)

Send me a PM Tim! :handshake:

Final three t-shirts are from the "private club" and in deference to CRM (and to help insure I don't get shot in a dark alley), first priority on these shirts goes to the members (you know who you are--well, everyone knows who you are if you read the shirts).

Yes, the original Chicago Rocket Mafia t-shirt from some 3 to 4 years ago. Black with red/white screen w/front chest logo; brand Hanes; size XL. I have two of these.

T-Shirts 038.jpg T-Shirts 039.jpg

And the current Chicago Rocket Mafia t-shirt that, alas, was released only a week ago (again, everything must go). Black with red/white screen w/front chest logo; brand Gildan; size XL.

Actually what I think I'm going to do with one of the original CRM shirts is mat and frame it and put it up in my workshop.

Two more sold. Unfortunately having to head to West Coast today/tomorrow. All items purchased by mid-day Wednesday will go out that afternoon.

I'll take this one........

Third, 2009, with the theme "Destination Moon" commemorating the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11, complete with famous JFK quote. Light blue in color with white/red/black screen; brand Hanes; size XL.

Will PM addy an PP info....THX

All items now shipped excepting one local delivery that should be completed next week.

Hey I will take these off your hands "Born Again Rocketeer" "The Golden Age of Model Rocketry"

Called up this thread and about two seconds later my Son handed me a package that just showed up. Felt the weight and immediately panicked considering the weight thinking it was bubble wrap and the aluminum av-bay lids I just ordered.

Nope...Five T-Shirts packed really really really really really well...I couldn't ship one of these in that envelope!

Thanks Tim!
