If you could buy two wood working tools to make building rockets easier, what would those two be?

Depends on the size of the rocket. For larger rockets, router with circle cutting jig, and table saw or drill press.

For now, a dremel and a palm (or in my case random orbital) sander are perfect to start. Those two things have saved me a lot of hassle - especially the dremel.

The two I use the most are the drill press and small table belt/disc sander.

Next would be scroll saw and dremel.

Beer keg cooler and freezer mugs. Now the build can begin.

I dont know about making my builds easier, but I sure would be building different types.
A lathe would open up a whole new world for me.
Then I guess I could use a bandsaw or a good table saw or a combo belt/disc sander or a Norm Abram (aka.qquake2k) work shop.

Table Saw and drill press. Was gonna say belt sander, but I simply would not bevel the fins at all withough it.

It depends on how much fabrication you want to do, but I think if you are doing essentially all of your own parts my choices would be (in order):

1) A good drill press.
2) A dremel (a wired one...battery life on most dremels suck)
3) A belt sander
4) Palm sander
5) Lathe

My tools, maybe, but not my work shop. It's way too messy. That's why I do most of my building on my stove.

I have to say, that the battery life on the 12v lithium Dremel far from sucks. I hardly ever ever use my corded Dremel anymore.

For Christmas, I got a bench top drill press, which has been a godsend -- a LOT nicer than using a drill, for a lot of the rocketry stuff I do.

The other tool I use the most is a palm sander.
