Waiting will be easy enough - too busy getting displays ready for the 4th. Once again, we'll be doing the Independence Eve display from the rooftop of the City and County Building across from the State Capitol in Civic Park, Denver CO. Colorado Symphony Orchestra helps provide soundtrack live. Denver CBS 4 should be live streaming the event Wednesday evening. Also involved with the Municipal Display for the town of Loveland, CO. that shoots on the 4th, duh.

ooo, how will that affect the value of that limited edition brown semroc box?:)

Since it looks to be hand done, then the value should increase. If this is done on multiple boxes, it's safe to assume that no 2 designs would be the same, therefore you'd have a "One of a Kind". The value of that brown box increases exponentially, as long as it's kept in the sealed state. Once you open said box, the value drops like the price of a car once you drive it off the lot. Any damage done by the mailroom, mailman, etc would decrease the value by a certain %, depending on severity of said damage. IF this box was a limited edition(marked as "limited edition # of #), then the value would again increase.....having limited edition #1 is the greatest find ever(much like comic books). And the day that Semroc is retired from the market(SAD, SAD day), then the box would again gain in value for a certain period, as everyone would be clamoring for that Semroc memorabilia. Don't hold too long though, as that value would subside once the rush on merchandise wore off.

Just some food for thought before you tear open that brown Semroc box. You COULD have the gift of a LIFETIME!!

oooohoooooohoooooh (i think i just wet myself).... I just got notification that I have a package on its way from "A Wildman's Rocket Supply". I am sooooooooooo looking forward to this!

Ooooh. Now you've got me curious. I'd like to see pics of the other sides, too. If they decorated the outside of the box, I wonder if they also wrapped what is inside. (I'm assuming they didn't just ship you a box straight from Semroc.)

Here's the rest of the box. As you can see, the bottom was already decorated. The top only has the address label. I presume this is because the post office can get testy about things being near the shipping label. Or maybe that just my local not-so-friendly postal employees. Sadly, you'll have to wait along with me to find out if what's inside is wrapped/decorated like the outside.

I think my favorite part is the second picture - "Is it really from (SEMROC) or did we just re-use the box? (mua-ha-ha). I like the sense of humor.

That's pretty good, it makes you wonder. It's also the sort of thing my family would do. (Re-use the box.) My parents got me a handspring visor (palm pilot) years ago; it was wrapped in a tea-kettle box. And a couple of years back I helped torment my sister in law by wrapping Starbucks and iTunes gift cards in empty iPhone boxes (weight adjusted with salt) before my mother-in-law handed her one more that had a newly activated phone. (Which I called as she was sitting there going "ha-ha" very funny - what's this a gift card for?")

I'm still waiting for a box to show up here. I'm hoping the change in front-desk personnel this week doesn't make delivery of the package more difficult. (Maybe Santa was just waiting for the RRC3 to become available? Right, wishful thinking...)

Nukemmcssret here Hey you all I have had my gift sent to my secret Santa guy form Semroc. They just conformed it was sent and I have received mine. Thanks to whoever sent me the rocket. Very nice I will build it this coming week!

Package arrived in the big brown van about 20 mins ago. Wildman, and it rattles when i shake it (well more like multiple dull thuds).
THANK YOU!!!!

Doing some research, I figured out that today at 1200 is technically when somewhere in Singapore passes over into the next day, therefore I should be able to open my gift today at 12!
:)

Just kidding.

Here's hoping a package shows up today. The office is closed tomorrow. But hey, on the bright side, if it shows up late - I won't have to wait to open it. :)

UPDATE: It's here!

Not as creatively decorated as the box AlfaBrewer received - but there's no mistaking that its a secret santa gift. :)

No Joy. No box at my doorstep. Maybe all this rain screened Santa's landing site.

Box arrived today from Loc Precision! Man, that was cutting it close!
