Just watched Good Will Hunting last night. First time since I saw it in the theaters. Definitely one of my all time fav movies along with the following, in no particular order...

Wrath of Kahn
October sky
Any of the Bourne films
2001 a space odyssey

So, what's your favorite movie or short list?

"Dances With Wolves"

Or just the first few minutes of "Waterworld", love that trimaran...the rest of the movie is crap.

My wife will say her favorite movie is "On Golden Pond" but the one movie she quotes more lines from than any other is "Coneheads".

Shaun of the Dead.

Pale Rider

Moonraker

Richard Kiel best big man bad guy ever

Little Big man

Blazing Saddles

Young Frankenstien

The Great Escape

Sands of Iwo Jima

McClintock

The Longest Day

A Bridge Too Far

Silverado

Big Jake

Rustlers Rhapsody

Fast Times at Ridgemont High

The Jerk

Anything by Stanley Kubrick, but especially "A Clockwork Orange". Absolutely brilliant...

Armageddon. My daughter says that I'm Harry Stamper and act like his character. (I never shot any of her boyfriends BTW). Although I was cleaning my M1A one time when I met him. She divorced him years ago and he still sends me a Christmas card lol.

O' Brother Where Art Thou

Dr. Strangelove, or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb

The Outlaw Josey Wales

Glory

Blazing Saddles

Papillon

In the Heat of the Night

The Producers (original)

Life Boat

Dr Strangelove

12 O Clock High

Command Decision

Battle Ground

OK, I'm likely a bit of an outlier...

I would agree with some obvious ones:
Oh Brother Where Art Though
Bourne series
A Beautiful Mind
October Sky
Inception
The Matrix

Then some obscure classics...
Heathers
Bandits
Joe and the Volcano
12 Monkeys
Breaking Away
Dan in Real Life
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
Edward Scissorhands
Fandango
House of Flying Daggers
Secret Window
Stranger Than Fiction

And some oldies...
Casablanca
Papillon
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Oh, I forgot Joe vs the Volcano, I love that movie! That and Volunteers are my two favorite Tom Hanks movies.

I can agree with almost all previously listed movies, but you guys forgot one Mel Brooks movie: Spaceballs!
Great movie! Yes, Blazing Saddles is funnier, and Young Frankenstein is a better parody, but Spaceballs is just fun.

Sleepless in Seattle

I'll add one that may not be a chick flick, but was fun (I enjoyed it more than I thought I would):
Pitch Perfect. It actually was funny, and the music was good.

Enter the dragon
The Octagon
The Cowboys
McClintock
True Grit (original)
Time Bandits
American Graffiti
The Hollywood Knights
Strangeland
Heart like a wheel
Quigley down under
Rob Roy
Escanaba in the moonlight
A Christmas Story
Two mules for Sister Sara
Paint your wagon
Cat Ballou
Dirty Work

I've never seen a chick flick that was accceptable to my male sensibilities. Seriously, I can't think of a single one, although there are a few musicals that I enjoy, like Paint Your Wagon and 1776.

Another great category... Best flicks for high-powered sales types...
Glengarry Glen Ross
Boiler Room
Wall Street (original)

I'll bet I have watched The Dawn Patrol at least 50 times and I enjoy it every time I watch it.

Dazed and Confused
Goonies
Big Trouble in Little China
Major League
The Dark Knight

Hmmm... far too many to list... but here are a few....

What about Bob?
Groundhog Day

Heat
Goodfellas

Star Wars, A New Hope
The Matrix

Silence of the Lambs
Seven

The Bridges at Toko-Ri
We Were Soldiers

they've gone plaid.....

Nah, he got the upside, I got the downside. See there's two sides to every Schwartz.

two best lines

I(snip)

The Outlaw Josey Wales

"I reckon so"... +1

I like "Tombstone" too...

"I'm your Huckleberry..."

"He's so drunk, he can't hit nuthin'... (pulls bowie knife) In fact, he's probably seeing double"
(draws pistols and twirls one forward and one backward) "I got two guns, one for each of ya..."

"Where's Wyatt?"
"Down by the creek-- walkin' on water..."

Val Kilmer made that movie... LOL:)

Later! OL JR :)

PS. +1 for Moonraker and Dr. Strangelove as well...
