It's up for me. I ordered last night before they sold out.

Just kidding.

Sorry. I'm waiting too...

Wow Quaranta! You really got me there. I did not see the end of your post. Good one.

Chris

I would guess it is being updates. If you notice the ads on the form, there is now one for the RRC3.

Thanks Chuck. The add has been running for awhile. Jim Amos posted a few posts back that it should be coming last night, so I figure that it is in progress. I also figure there will be some TRF traffic when the new site comes up and people start buying. Just wanted to make sure.

Today, I flew both alpha (latest firmware) and beta (not 100% latest firmware) to Mach 1.3. Both altimeters performed beautifully, and neither one seemed to experience any difficulties from being in close proximity to a 70cm transmitter (TeleMetrum).

Nice Troj. Standing by with credit card in hand.

As some may have noticed, the MissleWorks site is down. That's because an all new site and shopping cart are being installed as I type. This is to handle the expected overwhelming demand upon the new release of the RRC3.

So ya'll know what this means DON'T YOU? THAT'S RIGHT THEY ARE NOW A REALITY AND ALMOST....ALMOST READY. Hundreds and hundreds of them are running around loose in Jim Amos's shop, just looking for a shipping box with your address on it & permission from him to leave Area 151 . Waiting for that darn new website to get up and running.

I expect him to be announcing "Gentlemen....arm your altimeters" very, very soon!

So keep checking the for the NEW MISSLEWORKS site. There is a ton of info being put there including all the info & manual for the new avionics.
Including my "quick-start guide for dummies" who just want to "buy it & fly it" like me!

Here is the release note from Jim Amos sent to all of those on the e-mail newsletter:

Dear Valued Customer -

We're closing the old Zen Cart"shop", and we'll soon be transferring our web
domain to an all new web site and shopping cart.

Coupled with the deployment of our new web site deployment will be the
release of our all new RRC3 altimeter system. The RRC3 system has been in
development for over a year, and in addition has been extensively beta
tested with a focused group of flyers over the last 9 months.

The RRC3 offers the features of high-end flight controllers, with a price
tag of a modest dual event altimeter. It also maintains its "buy and fly"
simplicity, while offering advanced capabilities when you want or need them.

Please stop in once the new site gets launched and check out all the
features and capabilities of the RRC3.

Thanks again for your continued support,
Jim Amos

Woohoo!!!

Yeah, I got the memo, what I don't have is shipping info from Wildman. Every time someone posts up on this thread I get excited, "are we there yet?". Cutting out my sled for the 3" Darkstar today, should be getting the magnetic switches today too. I'm ready....

I got the memo and can't wait. Then again, I can wait for the site to be right.

I hope this thing goes live soon. I feel like I'm testing the IT department at work...I can imagine the conversation "Why is one of our chemists going to a site called 'Missileworks' 37 times a day? Should we notify someone about this?"

In the room Sat night showed Caveduck the Raven mounted in its 38mm Avbay and we were playing with its magnetic switch. Had to really listen to hear that it armed. Sounds like the RRC3 will be much louder.

Pulled the dual deploy wire kit from Doghouse - will be making a new sled for the Vindicator DD and the I-Force also once the new RRC3 is in my hands

Also want to try those small 2 lead terminal blocks from MissileWorks for the Mini Eagle Claw DD .

That i why it has to happen before I go back to work. They tend to block all rocket related websites.

Jim the new site looks great... Very friendly layout... Store part looks to still be getting work done but it's closer..

Thank you Shane... the web cart was just enabled, so you should be able to test drive and/or order.

Unfortunately for most of you that have waited patiently to order, there are just a few more items to complete before we slap the new RRC3 altimeter on the web cart. I'm pretty confident that we'll launch the RRC3 to coincide with this coming weekend's official "start of summer".

I'll continue to add site content as we get ready, which will include some detailed Product Info Pages, User Manuals, the mDACS flight viewer app (yes, I changed the name), and finally enabling the cart choices. I'm going to add some additional static content to the cart now that the DNS has propagated for the existing cart items.

Thanks to all of you for your continued support and interest in the RRC3.

if you see any black suv's following you, do what i did...... uh nevermind........ have a good day.

Love the new website! Super quick! Now to wait JUST a little bit more..Saturday needs to hurry up and get here...

 I hear my debit card whimpering!

I know you must be crazy busy, but FYI, on the new website there is a misspelling, RRC3 Alitmeter System.

Thanks for catching that, Joe... I'm a little blurry eyed with the volume of content being manipulated around.
Found it, and fixed. Thanks

Another quick RRC3 update...

I was able to finalize and push up all of the RRC3 documentation (excepting a "Quick Start" for the mDACS/USB-IO and the mDACS app) onto the new Downloads page. Getting all this documentation completed was a very heavy lift, and without the contribution of of CJ and Troj, it would have taken much more time to get to this point. Many thanks to both of you.

If you'd like to see what the RRC3 is all about and its capabilities, download these PDF's and have a read... :pop:

Great job Jim, CJ, and Troj. Very nice site also Jim. One reason that I know that the RRC3 will be good is because there are a lot of good people involved.

Jim, take a look at the User Manual, page 12, first paragraph after the top table. Second part of that sentence reads, "employ the use of Pad Power Saver Mode (+8), you would set the Audio Options setting to (9)." Based on the table above, Pad Power Saver Mode is not +8, but +4, so I think the second part of the sentence should read "employ the use of Pad Power Saver Mode (+4), you would set the Audio Options setting to (5)."

Give that man a cigar!
Correct... this setting got monkeyed with heavily during final revisions. The settings table was updated, however the ensuing text was missed. Good catch, Tim!

Jim, another one to consider... In the Quick Start Guide, first page just below middle there is a paragraph that states the following:

The RRC3 has built‐in mach immunity. If you don't know what this is, don't worry about it. It’s just one less setting to fiddle with that guarantees no problems during your flight if you approach or pass through Mach speeds. A full explanation is covered in the User Manual.
All good there, but there is no such corresponding explanation in the User Manual.

I must say after perusing the mDACS manual, it looks impressive. I like the flow charting function on the Aux port operation. Hope it performs in real life in like manner.

I intend to use the data streaming function. A pin out of the com port would be nice.

Tim - There is some verbiage in the Reference Section that talks about baro processing, just not in the specific vernacular of "mach immunity". I agree that I should add a more direct reference. Also in regard to your comment regarding flow and operations of the Aux port, it *does work* just like it's pictured. I'm already thinking down the road on how to integrate additional building blocks into the sequence setup.

James - You are absolutely correct, I need to include some pin-outs of the comm and aux sockets. I'll be offering low-cost, pre-made harnessing to connect into both of them. I'm also going to release all the data stream documentation, I simply have not been able to get to that yet. I'll drop a comm socket pin-out in the User Manual, and this to-be-released documentation as well. Don Ball is working on some "widgets" for data stream interfacing that should prove to be interesting.

Thanks for reviewing and sharing your thoughts.

Thanks for that! I am really not in a big rush, just thought I would mention it. I am sure you are a bit busier then me right now. But who needs sleep right?

I see the website is again visible, with updates--and it looks great, by the way. The altimeter is still listed as "coming soon," though. Any idea when "soon" might be?

Later!
