took a hacksaw and cut the neck off one of these this morning rnsure.jpg a little clean up Of the inner lip with the Dremel and it slides over the Semroc 29mm equivalent tubing...i figure scuff it up good and use some JB weld and see what happens (anyone else tried these)

I did the Gatoraid 29mm retainer about a year and a half ago and posted it here.
Never thought of the Ensure tho. I'm pretty sure it will work very well.

(Ain't free stuff great?? :) )
 
Except For Motors/Engines/Whooshamabobs this hobby can be done on the super cheap (glue and most paint dual purpose as household Project materials) and you feel kinda clever too
 
I wonder if the Boost drink bottle will also work for this? I have to drink those for the protein for dialysis....

I'l let you know as soon as I have a few moments in the "workshop?" ...looks about the same size to me..also the "generic" 100 count Ibuprofen bottles fit the BT-50 perfectly too

I've noticed that a lot of the generic OTC medicine bottles fit BT50 tubing but the child proof caps present a bit of a problem. The threading on most of the DIY solutions leave something to be desired. The cap on the Ensure bottles looks like it is a bit taller than the Gatoraid caps I've fiddled with, I wonder if it has more threads?

The total length of the Ensure bottle neck (without cap) is 1in. 2/3 of which is threaded and seems to be a bit more robust than the "gatorade style" retainer (heavier threads too...)
