@ Kevin; keep us informed as to your technique for building up the wing cross section. I'm still trying to hammer out a strong yet light structure for the wing.

I have that in the basement, already.

I have a 2' x 4' sheet of Nomex honeycomb panel. That will be the wing core, which will then be covered with foam, and finally, carbon fiber over that. Strong and light.

....and a lot of work.

How thick is the nomex?

This is a cool project! I love the delta wing rockets, and Pegasus is probably my favorite. I have a 2.6"(?) version with a 29mm mount. It's first flight was less than successful, and it took so long to get to that point I haven't gone back to try and fix it.

What happen on the first flight? I have the same one with the 29mm mount. I really love the shape of the Pegasus.

I have the TMRK, It's 1:20 scale, it's 30" long and 2.6" dia. I requested the 29mm mount in stead of the 3-D12-3's. They did a great job on the rocket. I'm finished building it and just need to put the decals on it.

Gotcha. I have one of those, as well. I built mine with the 3 motor cluster. It flies well; at burnout, though, it goes unstable pretty quickly.

Life just got way easier, methinks....

A friend has recently built himself a CNC that he's willing to let the group of us use for rocketry projects. Right now, he's just working with 2D models, but it has the ability to cut 3D, as well. I've started looking at the software he's using, and I should be able to directly import the CAD model I already have, and cut the wing and fins with the CNC. This will make life a LOT easier, as I can leverage what's already out there. :)

I just need to decide how to handle the saddle -- it can easily be cut with the wing, but I have to decide how to build it all, so that it gets cut properly.

Life is indeed grand -- the CNC software can import the CAD files I have, and it can scale them, so my life just got a whole lot easier!

In another month or two, I should have time to get together with the owner of the CNC, and do some test cuts.
