... to scratch build...

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long story short... did a demo launch for my sons school... brought a bunch of rockets... QCC ended up destroyed (i swear this rocket is cursed) by the hands of a student and is unrepairable... and the best part... my tr-1027 is a scratch build using the qcc parts and i sent off the fins and ducts in the rocketry box pass... so now this is what i am going to do... buy yet another QCC... strip off the fins and whats left of them from the broken QCC and rebuild the old one... now should i do with the nose cone and body tubes from the new QCC...

Scratch build another rocket of course!!!

soo here is the plan... a 6 fin kinda futuristic looking rocket... this is also a plan to try something ive been wanting to do on another build...

So here is what i call CATO Hunter... Im probably going to be cursed naming a rocket "CATO" but WTH... I feel its fitting

This isn't a finished design yet... still need to add a few things... make a few tweaks and what not... but this is the basic design that i am settled on... might do it as a 29mm and lengthen the airframe a bit... undecided on that though

here is the OR file as well for you guys

There are a variety of over the counter creams available to take care of that itch.

Oh, nice design.

Go ahead. Scratch your itch for scratch builds. Just not in public.

Great... now my thread is going to get deleted for pubically scratching it... :/ hopefully this infection will spread on to a few of you before that happens

As long as a Doctor is not involved, your ok! :eyepop: I love scratch builds. I just finished one in honor of my late son, his birthday was the 17th.

That rocket looks great... sorry about your son... but i think its really cool you are letting him live on through you and hobbies...

I love to build scratch builds too... but i also love to build kits... sooo i guess it is safe to say i just love building rockets... im always thinking of and designing scratch builds... and i usually just pick one to build when i want to build one... this time around it just so happens that i need to rebuild my qcc and i am going to be having spare parts laying around... and id to let them just collect dust... :dark:
