Successful flight today for my Level 3.

The weather was perfect. A few high clouds, light winds and the temperature in the mid 70's.
The rocket was named "Back in Black". Flew it on the M1500 to 8870'. A very nice boost and picture perfect recovery

Thanks to Tripoli SC Orangeburg, you all on TRF, and especially my family for all the support and well wishes.

Pictures and video to come

Guy,

Congrats. I had my fingers crossed. My wife took photos.

Congrats. Absolutely beautiful rocket.

I may have missed it but did you add weight in the end? What was launch weight?

Congrats Guy!

Was a great flight and a beautiful rocket!!!!

Yes it Twas a Nice flight indeedee!

No one could ask for better conditions then we had that day. 70's clear, high clouds, 3-4mph winds. Not bad for a December day.

The flight was bullet straight & don't forget to send me the ...........lol

It really looked great with the big, long green flames following the green & black rocket throughout the burn.

There was a bit of motor snafu in the morning that would have flustered many lesser men.[wrong nozzle with first, no time to glue in the grains on second, & finally borrowing hardware from this one & closures from that one to utilize the 3rd & final motor choice]

But Guy handled it all with grace, and nothing was going to stop him from taking advantage of the perfect flying conditions. So the motor was built [finally] chute & charges loaded up and off to the away cell the rocket & Ogino's went!
The designated time arrives, and the obligatory 10 count that all L-3 flights receive began. At launch off goes the project into the sky and history with a picture perfect flight & recovery. Tom B. & I witnessed the entire process with ease, the entire flight was readily seen, & we inspected and signed off the paperwork.

Guy,Mary[his wife] and Charlie, were last seen headed of into the sunset to celebrate the weeks of hard work.

Congratulations on an outstanding project & wonderful flight!

Sorry I missed this flight Guy! Congrats. Please bring the bird to ROCC this weekend so we can all ooh and ahhh over it now that it has been beyond 8000'!

Is it light enough to fly at the farm on a small K or large J?

Great flight! I also enjoyed the Pink Floyd in the background!
