Scotty what is the link?
I went to 3 different high schools and just recently connected through Facebook:sigh:
My 1985 senior high Head Cheer-leader that was nutz for me (the 6' 3" Billy Idol looking Punk Rocker:rolleyes:)
and she is living in Titusville Florida (YES the Cape)with a seperation marriage.
I am game but like being single generally.

I am not a huge fan of classmates.com. I joined several years ago but I've grown tired of their constant advertizing (I only joined for the free service). Nearly every day I get email reminding me that someone visited my page or seven people signed my guestbook, but every time I click on a link they tell me "Oh, I'm sorry, you have to be a PAID member to actually see who visited." I've reconnected with many of my classmates on Facebook so I'm not really tempted to pay money to find more people that I only half remember anyway...

I much prefer to keep the past in the past.
Looking up old acquaintances only stirs new trouble...

I've been a member for several years but dont really participate. I met a couple of folks there that I went to school with but I had actually known them since we were in elementary school in the midwest! Otherwise I remember very few of my high school classmates and though invited, I did not attend the 40th reunion. I would not have known anyone! I was a nerd in school!:D

Just try and get off their mailing list without calling in an artillery barrage on their data center. And, if you "upgrade" to the fee paid service, they are renowned for making it nigh on impossible to cancel without canceling the credit card.

They are just one step to the side of a Nigerian banking fraud type of scam.

Not trying to rekindle any fires. if you get e-mail bombarded, I'm not sure it's worth the spam.

amen to that! Don't go down that rabbit hole, it's a waste of time. If you truly want to connect to old HS friends, Facebook <shudder> is a better venue. But Facebook comes with its own unique set of problems...

The single most important thing to know about Facebook is how to use the "Hide" functionality -- hide posts from apps, then tell it to block them permanently, and hide objectionable posts.

If I hide more than one of your posts, I hide you permanently via the "Remove Friend". :)

On Facebook, I prefer to have fun. I don't care for a regurgitation of Fox News or MSNBC.

There was an internet rumor floating around that some cheatin' guy got busted when his wife befriended his girlfriend on Facebook and "They Talked"

I did the classmates thing to for a while, but they won't let you do much if your not a paying member.
I think a while back there was some kind of law suit going on that involved Classmates.com. I don't remember all the details though.

Fortunately most of the problems with Facebook are of the social, rather than of the economic kind.

The class bully tracked down the Model Rocket guy and beat him up for old times sake?

Are you quoting Warren Zevon?

Desperadoes Under The Eaves

And if California slides into the ocean
Like the mystics and statistics say it will
I predict this motel will be standing
Until I pay my bill.
