I have to respectfully disagree with the idea that some of the movies listed here are "bad". Blazing Saddles? Young Frankenstein? Monty Python and the Holy Grail? You gotta be kidding, those are classics. Blazing Saddles is camp, just like Batman. Young Frankenstein is just a wonderful parody of all the old monster movies. Monty Python, well that one defies categorization.

I have to agree...lot's of movies on here that I see as great and classic. Even Rocky Horror, especially Holy Grail. I got a boxed set of Mel Brooks' movies on BluRay. History of the World Part I is also a great one.

I don't recall how good or bad this movie was considered when it was out, but I almost always watch it when it's on, and recently my 8 year old daughter watched it with me and loved it...Time Bandits. It may not qualify.

I'm also a B-movie fan. Back in the day I would rarely miss USA Up All Night on the weekends, some hosted by Rhonda Shear and some hosted by Gilbert Gottfried. I think one of my favorites there was Hell Comes to Frog Town.

A few more...

Killer Clowns From Outer Space
Nick Danger and the Case of the Missing Yolk
Zachariah
If
The House That Screamed

I've become addicted to Science Fiction movies that have been made for less than 50k. Really forces the writer to come up with a good script to make up for the lack of a budget for CGI.

A few that have made it to the top of this genre:

The Man From Earth
Pi
Primer
Timecrimes
the quiet earth
Frequently asked questions about time travel

The Man from Earth, and Timecrimes (spanish import) are probably the best, although I have to give Primer a nod as it's budget was about 5k!

How about "5 Million Years to Earth" ("Quatermass and the Pit" across the pond, as they say). That's always been one of my favorite old SF movies.

And talking about cheaply made SF movies, who can ever forget the Roger Corman SF classic: "Battle Beyond the Stars" (although it was the most expensive movie that Corman made to that point - 2mil). He did recoup a lot of that by using all the props, sets and stock FX footage again in "Space Raiders".

Here's a few.....

Rad (Go Cru!)

Grandma's Boy (But it's a fricken sweet car bed!)

Sorority Boys (DOG CATCHER!)

I strongly recommend Sorority Boys....classic college over the top hilarious.

...Another movie for me is "The Gods Must Be Crazy". Heres a movie that is based entirely around a Coke bottle thrown out of a plane. How foolish , stupid ,can ya get. But I love the movie and have watch it many many times...

An excellent premise/story line for a movie. The whole thing is kinda, well, bad. But it's still a great movie. The beginning and end are tremendous. Some really good thinking there.

Im surprised no one mentioned John Waters. King of the B. B for bad taste. First movie I saw was Pink Flamingos w/Divine, sick sick sick.:puke: The 2nd was Polyester also sick w/Divine. This had Odorama. You were given a card before entering the movie. At the bottom of a scene it would say to scratch and sniff. Farts, vomit, roses, etc. and the other Hairspray-the original one.

1st runner up- Meaning of Life- Mr Creasote-"Better get a bucket" scene:puke:

Cannibal Women in the Avacado Jungle of Death!

Now THAT's a BAD movie!

-Larry (The Horror!) C.

I just read the synopses of it on IMDB, and it does sound BAD! Wow! And reading the "memorable" quotes pretty much clinches it. It's hard to imagine writing lines like those.

It's actually based on Heart of Darkness, but that sure doesn't make it literary. There's about ten seconds of mild skin in the very beginning to get it the desired rating. After that, it's just bad-movie fun.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Flash Gordon, from 1980

To answer this thread- my favorites that I can watch over and over, but other people might think are not so good, are "The Quick and the Dead" and "Desperado".

Others that I can watch over and over are the first 2 "Alien" movies, the first 3 "Terminator" movies, and James Bond in "Goldfinger".

There are probably a lot of others that I can't think of right now.

With my new Netflix account I've been getting a lot of disks to watch. But sometimes I don't research them completely before ordering them. Last week we got "Drive Angry", because my wife is a Nicholas Cage fan. I don't know if she enjoyed the movie or not. It was so "different" that I actually enjoyed it and it will probably become a cult hit someday. It had a lot of really bad language, a lot of violence, and a lot of nudity.

Adding:

Deathstalker II

I LOVE that movie (wife hates it, so it MUST be good!)

"Stalk-er... Is that your sword, or are you just happy to see me??!"

GREAT flick! LOL:)

When the thug lifts his eye patch to look at the bad girl hottie when she comes into the bar, that's priceless too...

Later! OL JR :)

A couple of mine would be:
Men at work
Super Troopers

P.S. I don't think these are bad movies, just ones that I won't pass up if they are on the tube.

Those are pretty darn good too...

"The Commie b@$#@rd gets no food!!!" Cracks me up every time...

(that dude MADE that movie (Men at Work)

"Sir, he's already pulled over-- he can't pull over any farther... "

Freakin' hilarious...

Later! OL JR :)

PS. +1 to Mars Attacks! and Spaced Invaders...

Space Balls

"Oh dear... what are those THINGS coming out of her nose??"

"SPACE-balls!!"

"Oh $#!t... there goes the planet" (one ape to another)

GREAT flick...

On the stinkers list I'd put "Pluto Nash" and "Judge Dredd"...

Later! OL JR :)

A Boy and His Dog was the first movie that my big brother took me to by ourselves. It was the first movie I got on DVD. Didn't have a player at the time, but I was plannin ahead :D.
I have to put Men In Black on my guilty pleasure list. It's on cable all the time. Every time I catch it on, I'm hooked. I get the :eyeroll: from the girlfriend and soon she's reading book in another room.

How 'bout "Galaxina"? ("Porno... Porno... Porno Patrol... Any old port in a storm..." naw - I ain't gonna finish it!:D)
