The TRS sends packets once per second, they typically last about 100 ms. You can set the 70cm TRS from 420.050 - 449.950 by 100 kHz, so it should be easy to keep from interfering with your BeeLine and accommodate your local band plan.

If one lets the TRS auto arm - with both deployment channels set as off, using it only as a GPS tracker.

Will the LCD receiver receive and display gps and altitude data if it is turned on after the TRS has already auto armed (passed the 45 seconds of pairing mode and then the 30 seconds of programming mode)?

thanks

Yes. I do that all the time... in fact, wait until the TRS is "armed" before you turn on your LCD receiver, just to be sure. One thing I really like about using the TRS as a plain "tracker" is that you get the AGL baro altitude out of it... it's much more responsive than the GPS altitude.

Cris,

Want to confirm once the TRS is armed and transmitting what sound it should be making. Got the TRS and LCD and testing them out, everything works, GPS data is transmitting and the LCD receiver is displaying the data. The TRS is doing a constant chirping of its buzzer, is that the expected sound?

its a little annoying, but maybe you set it to encourage launching of the rocket ASAP ;)

just want to double check - also will play around with the Kenwood D74, i'll poke around to see if can play nice with the TRS

Yes, that annoying chirping is there so you can't mistake it for anything else. Plain beeps can be confusing... does two beeps mean that it's armed or that it's not armed?

got it, with two protons, two quantums and the TRS its going to be a music festival at the launchpad.

love eggtimer products

That's what I like about the WiFi stuff... you get remote confirmation of arming without having to pick out "that" altimeter from the cacophony.
