I finally won an Intercepter E on eBay. I also have a Cosmic Intercepter kit and a Trajector kit. I was just wondering if there are/were any other kits that use the same nose cone as these three?

Frank Burke reused them in some of his Dyna-soar glider kits until the supply ran dry, and there's the Accur8 Ragnarok which kitbashed the Cosmic Interceptor.

But those three are the only ones that actually came from Estes.

AFAIK those are the only three. But the nose cone is an upscale of the BT-55 sized PNC-55EJ (injection molded) and PNC-55B (blow molded) cones used in the Vindicator, USS Pleiades, and the smaller Interceptor kit. It is also a close facsimile to the PNC-50SP used in 9 other Estes kits. So you can use those cones to do upscales of those smaller models.
I scored 8 of these Interceptor E nose cones from another forum member a few months ago at a great price. Will be doing 8 Estes upscales.
I anticipate this project will take upwards of a year or more to complete.

I knew about this one and he also has a Vindicator-E Skin/Short kit that you can build using a cosmic interceptor kit as well.

I had not heard of the USS Pleiades before. I googled it and not one image of a built rocket came up. Just one upscaled sustainer which looked cool.

Kuririn, we'll be watching for those builds with interest

Thanks,

That however was a BT55 model, not the 2" size used in the Interceptor E.

The Pleiades is interesting (to me at least) in being one of very very few sci-fi multi-stage kits ever produced. In fact, off the top of my head I can't think of single other. @CoachSteve 's two-stage Odyssey (though awesome) doesn't count. :)

Maybe it wasn't a very good seller... It is kinda cool being a two stage rocket but the booster, err just doesn't do it for me. I do like the sustainer though. Reminds me of the Trajector but with more fin details

Cool. I can imaging replacing those wing antenna regularly.....
