Sounds interesting, PM sent.I really like the looks of that kit. Good luck. The pods on the fins were a little problematic for me. The more chute the better is all I'll suggest. PM me if you want the full story.

Say what?Experienced my first earthquake.
Did the earthquake make you feel dizzy?Sanded first primer coat off the amraam booster. Experienced my first earthquake. Sanded second coat off the payload tube. Put all together to see what it looked like...pretty cool. Sprayed another coat on booster. View attachment 411001 View attachment 411002
Ditto. Surprisingly good.I was an IT guy for 25+ years and I found Brother printers to be pretty reliable.
Did the earthquake make you feel dizzy?
They often do. Your inner ear senses movement but your eyes don’t see any...until you spot the chandelier or water in the fishbowl moving.

I love my piston eject rockets. system is very simple and works effectively. also, you don't need wading since the piston protects the recovery from any burn. Good luck in your build and have fun!I started my next project, from PML. First time for the piston eject and quantum tube...

The OOP SpaceX Falcon 9 kit, with Boyce Aerospace Heavy conversion. Still working on the strap-on cores, but it at least looks complete as a standard F9 like this.
That PML Little lunar Express is in my build pile. PM sent.Sounds interesting, PM sent.
I lived in the SF Bay area and experienced a couple of quakes. One was a "shaker" another was a "roller". In the first the ground moved laterally from side to side. In the other it felt as though I was on a raft in a swimming pool. Definitely changes your perception of what "solid ground" means.Yeah it was surreal. About 1752 today Idaho had a 6.5 earthquake, epicenter about 100 miles from Boise. I just got home from work and stepped out of the truck and it happened . Shook for about 10 seconds. I’ve never experienced one before so it threw me for a loop.
I personally wasn’t dizzy, but many were. It was def a lot of movement though.
Is that a Scott Binder Rocketry kit?Steady progress on my BSD Thor. Will complete the external fillets in the next day or two, but then will be interrupted as the fiberglassing will have to wait until I get moved into my new workshop.

Okay, I know this isn't really a help forum, but you guys are all still a lot smarter than I am. I've been looking into electric recovery/flight computer stuff, and I haven't been able to find any thing that tells you what to use or how to program it. I know that flight computers can be bought but I don't know what all to do once I get it. Just wondering what you guys use, or if you have any recommendations.

You'll find more relevant information in the software and electronics section of the forum.
However, you should be able to find manuals for the altimeters on sale. Good places to start are:
Perfectflite.com
Missileworks.com
Eggtimerrocketry.com (flight computer kits, require soldering)

So an original BSD Thor and not one of the kits Scott currently offers under the Fusion name?Yes, an original.
