Unix time is the number if seconds since Jan 1 1970. Based on a 32bit number. In 2038, the 32bit number is maxed out. Every Unix and Linux based system will have to be re-written to use either a different time system or a bigger number (64bit) but that just covers the OS. All the apps on those systems will need to be re-written too. All time/date calculations done in 90% of the world's servers are based in Unix epoch time.how unix time end?
