I down loaded the Centuri "X-24 Bug" lifting body from the flying saucer topic on "The Rocketry Forum" and have started to build it. Along with the Estes "Battlestar Galactica Viper" and Estes "Space Shuttle" and "MPC's Titan 3C", the "Bug" was and is one of my favorite models. It is an amazing vehicle! I tuned my original one "way back when" to fly a good 100-140' glide distance. I admit at the age of 66.75 years young, I never ever thought I would find a way to get a cheap version of it.
After I get finished with this posting, I will be getting back to work on it. Cheers and Happy Flying!

Osiris is my "many-eyed" 3D printed spacecraft for model rocketry. The videos stitching multiple fields of view is interesting. I hope you enjoy playing in the street, time travel and jumping between dimensions.

Took advantage of the Mach1 sale. This should be a good rocket for my home field on 29/40-120 and CTI 2 and 3 grain 29's. I have a SMT Designs AV bay kit and an RRC 2+. There's also an as yet unbuilt Eggfinder Mini for the nosecone. The decals are shipping separately.

PLEASE post pics of your Bug when you git 'er done! I built several back in the day, but never have flown one on rocket power. Many were towed aloft by model planes though!

Yesterday, I glued the "Y" harness and centering rings to the 75mm motor mount tube for my Frenzy XL:

Today, I inserted the MMT into the fincan tube and stuck the fins in with Rocketpoxy. Then I mixed up some West systems and injected internal fillets:

Finally, I mixed up some JB weld and installed the Aero Pack tailcone retainer.

Got the kit and mmt for a 29mm Big Daddy in the mail along with a chute release as to not lose it like last time.

Been toying with idea of an AMX Bigger Daddy so I found the normal Big Daddy at HL and bought it with the idea of turning it into a 29mm version.

There are a lot of build reports for them an EMRR.

Ya know, I built one of those a while back and never finished it. My main goal was to be able to use the AT 29/40-120 E16's. Maybe I should finish it...

Did you add chopped carbon to the West epoxy? Looks good.

@Vitruvius I tried finding the flying saucer topic but with no luck. Could you post a link?

Yes, that's what the lumps are in the injection points. Real problem I'm having is that I'm used to building in the summer, and using the oven that's outside on the cement. Now I have to use a space heater in the laundry/epoxy room. I know that most people think that 50* is springtime, but it's COLD to me! Waiting for epoxy to cure is boring....

Bought another Mach 1 Rocketry offering: A 54m Red Shift with graphics option and dual deploy setup. I even scored a 20% discount on my purchase. Just enter the code “3YEARS” in the provided spot and take your chances...the discount varies by an algorithm which I’d guess is not exactly random. By that I believe the discount may be fixed at 20%

Extremely high quality product, great communications, and fast shipping. What’s not to like?

I grabbed my 3" Excel out of the shed and finished the build today after starting it a long time ago. It's a nice kit, but I just didn't enjoy it as much as working with fiberglass kits. Of course wood glue is cheaper and easier to clean than epoxy. It should be a good flyer on F and G motors, maybe even to experiment with research motors.

Finally painted my clone of the old Estes k-11 WAC Corporal kit. It has been waiting in primer for almost two years.

Still need to get the silver on two fins, but it'll be done tonight. Pics later...

Ordered an Estes Astron Sprint XL from Amazon.

It’s out of production so figured I should buy one while they’re still in stock.

Kind of a homely bird but style is consistent with the era in which the original design was created.

Saw one at last month’s Low/MidPower launch and was reminded I didn’t have one in my collection.
