I thought I'd take a shot at a build thread. I got this kit from LOC as a replacement for one I got with incorrectly sized fins.
I've been building rockets and flying for a couple of years, so don't take anything I'm doing as good practice. It's just me implementing my version of stuff I've probably seen here.
So off we go...

The description say it'll fly on D-H impulse and has a 29mm motor mount. I'll be building with epoxy throughout. I'm going to put on mini rail buttons since my home club wants anything G and above to launch from a rail. I may modify the nose cone for a Lab Rat tracker sled to hold an Eggfinder Mini.

First was to scuff the body tube, centering rings and motor mount tube to accept epoxy and later paint.

I used a Dremel with a180 grit sanding disc to put an airfoil of sorts on the fins.

Used 120 grit to knock down the parting lines on the nosecone. It'll eventually get smoothed out with some finer grits before it gets paint.

Notched the forward centering ring to attach a loop of Kevlar for a connection of the recovery gear. I'll be epoxying the tails to the motor mount tube. There's an Aeropack retainer on order that'll get attached with JB weld.

I filled some of the spirals with wood filler, which didn't really work out so well. I'll go heavy on the sandable primer. I'm not a real finish fanatic. Sanded them with 220 grit.

That's about it for today. I'll probably finish the motor mount once I get the retainer. Then attach the fins.

Here's a nosecone from another Park Flyer with the Lab Rat Eggfinder Mini sled installed.

Bonded on an Aeropack 29L retainer with JB Weld after roughing up the motor tube with 80 grit

I removed a few thousandth from the ID of the centering rings to allow some room for Rocketpoxy. Dry fit of MMT and Y harness. Ready for glue.

I've got the motor mount ready to epoxy into the body tube. I didn't weigh the parts before I started but the assembly is 45g now. I mixed 7g of epoxy but didn't use all of it.

Motor mount glued in and first fin attached. Using my fin alignment jig from SMT Designs (thanks Steve!)

Back to the build after shifting my attention to completing an Eggfinder Mini.
Fillets for the first set of fins. Mixed up 6g of Rocketpoxy, needed about 2.

All the external fillets are finished. Added holes for the mini rail buttons and a vent hole for the body tube. Holes hardened with CA.
I also received my nosecone tracker bay from Lab Rat, I'll be modifying the NC next.
I'm going to be laid off for a week (?) so I'll have some time to work on it

Lookin' good :)
Thanks for taking time to post the build.

Rail buttons and vent holes in body tube. Top rail buttons is about 6.5" from the bottom of the tube, just above the end of the motor mount.

I spent a little time with the saw, and some cylinder burrs and a flapper wheel on the Dremel modifying the nose cone to accept the Eggfinder Mini sled from Lab Rat. Still needs a few touches with the flapper. Then I need to drill and tap the holes for the set screws. Should be easy thanks to the included drill guide.

I'm watching as well, looking good so far. What motors do you think you'll fly it on?
Probably most anything in the 29/40-120 case. I'll need a final weight to plug into the sims to check the speed off the rail and some altitude estimates. I've also got a 29 CTI starter set, so some of the 2 or 3 grain loads look good. With a big enough recovery area there's always the 29/360 loads. If the fins stay on...

Oh my, I hope you have a tracker for that thing!
Eggfinder Mini. I'll be using a Jolly Logic Chute Release as well. I don't think it would be wise (or safe) with anything larger than a baby H. Can you get your L1 with a Park Flyer?

You can get your L1 with anything that flies on an H. I've flown my Tomahawk on a couple of H's. Streamers work well for these kits.

You certainly could get your L1 with a Park Flyer. I've flown the Sandhawk Park Flyer on an h128 and h135 and it flew great. I got 2703' agl on the AT h128 and 4197' agl on the h135.

Thanks for the feedback on the H motor performance.
I originally filled the spirals with wood filler but didn't get great results. I spotted some vinyl spackle in the basement and decided to try it. Looks better. Ready for primer. That's all the paint it's getting until it flys a time or two.

To coats of Rust-Oleum sandable primer. That's as much finishing as I'm doing for now. I'll either paint it, out maybe a vinyl wrap from Stickershock, after it flys.
It might be kind of fun to print up a wrap that looks like a 38/1320 casing. Make it look like a casing with fins and a nose cone;)

Two coats of primer applied. Mini rail buttons attached.
I ordered 12' of 1/8"Kevlar from Top Flight for a recovery harness. I'll need to think about a parachute, I'm at 285g right now. Still have to add the Eggfinder Mini and LiPo battery to the nose. Battery is~20g,

The EZE had two flights on Sunday.
AT F67-9W
CTI F36-11 SS (drilled delay for 6s.)
Hard landing cracked the fillet at the point where it tapered off to the body tube. Ground of the old Rocketpoxy and will add a new fillet. JLCR works better when it's turned on.
