I really wanted to fly with the Lake Winnipesaukee club today, but my daughter had a volleyball tournament. I have the rest of my life to fly rockets, and I only have three years before she’s in college.
It's good to have your priorities straight. Family comes first. Rockets come in second. Second only by a nose is still second. :)

Got my Tesla Coil Plasma Speaker kit in today. Have soldered most everything except the two coils. Waiting for the medium CA holding the 325-turn coil to cure, then finishing up by soldering the last three joints.

Okay, ya got my attention, I'm impressed. If you like double-action only but hate the heavier trigger pull, try the Walther PPQ M2. Nicest DAO trigger I've ever tried.
It is advertised to have a very nice trigger, but I think it is a semi auto not a double-action only. I do have a S & W 686 performance center that has the smoothest DA trigger I ever felt. My brother in law has a Colt Python that is just as smooth.

The Walther PPQ M2 is both a double-action-only *and* a semiautomatic. Semiautomatic means that you get a bang with each trigger pull. DAO means you can't cock the hammer; squeezing the trigger both cocks the gun and fires the firing pin. In fact a DAO is by its nature a semiautomatic.

Walther's website doe's not call the PPQ a DAO. It is striker fired.
Their P99 is hammer fired DA/SA. DAO mean you can't access the hammer to cock the pistol, it is cocked by trigger pull only.
But I'm ok to agree to disagree.

As I've always understood it, DA ('O' or not) means that the trigger both cocks and fires, where SA means that each discharge cocks the weapon for the next one. So with one the weapon is cocked in between trigger pulls and in the other it is not. They're functionally the same in that each trigger pull gives you a shot, but fundamentally different in how the do it.

A SA (single action) must be cocked before firing like a Colt 1911 (semi auto) or a Ruger Blackhawk or Colt SAA (revolver). A DA (double action) both cocks and fires the weapon like a S&W Shield .45 semi auto or a Colt Python revolver.

DA/SA's maybe cocked then fired or shot DA H&K USP's had several options for this.
A DAO can only be fired DA and generally are hammerless or bobbed hammers or shrouded hammers or striker fired (Glock among many) which cannot be cocked manually.

Wasn't today, exactly, but made a part for NYC CNC's Johnny 5 build. My part is shown at 1:20 and 23:39. Pretty neat idea to crowd source the build and have a large group of machinists and hobbyists make the parts for the robot. :D

I spent some time this evening giving my mountain bike a much needed tune-up and serviced the bearings in the hubs before the riding season gets here. It still needs a good bath, but at least it is shifting smooth and there is no more side to side play in the wheels.PSX_20200307_204046.jpg

Uggh..Trailer day #1. Ended up replacing the 7 connector plug, most of the brake wires. Then noticed my sway control had a bracket bolt missing...Ran to the store, got bolt.....hole stripped! Got helicoil, found out the tap is just bigger then 1/2 so I needed a new handle....more running around for that...got helicoil in. At least my brakes are now working normally.
Left to do: New hitch setup (for my new truck), grease the zirc fittings, air in tires, new handles for back ramp door.

Getting ready to go to work for a very busy day in the Depot... Clear weather brings out the DIY's and my days fly by fast... I do day dream:rolleyes::rolleyes: about my Rockets all day though..:rolleyes:
