What a legacy she left behind.
Upon my first viewing of the movie, I knew it belonged in my personal movie collection along with the book it was based on.

Amazing woman!
RIP Katherine Johnson.

Well worth seeing that movie if you haven't, highly recommended.

I remember when I saw the movie "Hidden Figures" absolutely an excellent movie, but so angered at the way people of color were treated back then. Those women may a significant difference in the space program. It's one movie I can watch over and over and continue to get enjoyment out of it.

RIP Katharine Johnson

Mad Mike Hughes is getting a lot of attention right now because of the sensationalism of his stunts. There’s very little substance behind him. He’s the butt of a lot of jokes and he’ll be forgotten in a few years.

Katherine Johnson’s legacy is built on a lifetime of meaningful contributions to society. She’s all substance, a source of national pride, and 50 years after her efforts help put man on the moon people still remember her. She lived a lot of years and she did a lot of good while she was here.

Occasionally someone will try to downplay her contributions to the moon landing. If NASA gets wind of it, they won’t stand for it. They will in no uncertain terms make it perfectly clear she was a big deal.

There are buildings named after her at NASA Langley and George Mason University. She’s also a LEGO character and a Barbie doll. The impression she left on this world will last long after her death.

What a legacy.

The movie is excellent, but I wish they had skipped some of the over dramatization. The bathroom issue was completely made up for the movie as that facility did not have segregated bathrooms when she worked there. Don't think of this as an excellent movie about a black woman; think of it as an excellent movie.

And speaking of excellent movies, my wife and I saw Harriet when it came out a few months ago. Again, they created stuff for the movie that they didn't need to in my opinion, but it is another excellent movie worth seeing. In my opinion she needs to be put on the $20 bill as soon as possible.

I found her story to be impressive and inspirational. She lived a long life and will be remembered. RIP.
