Not a build thread, but thought I'd share this while waiting for paint to dry on some other builds. Pulled the Odd'l Little Green Man and Pigasus from my build pile a couple of days ago. They use the same 6" ST-18 tube and nose cone as the Semroc Groonie line, so I'm calling them "Grooniesque". Building a collection of Goonies and Groonies, big fan of both (don't laugh!).
Instructions are clear and well written, precise measurements are given. At first glance this may seem like a kid's rocket, but assembly might be a little too much for the youngest builders. This would be a good parent/child project.
Anyhoo, here's the assembly of the LGM so far. Balsa has been filled before assembly with CWF and sanded. Need to primer, paint, and decal/finish.
Next: Miss Piggy......er, Pigasus!

Thanks. Well, assembly of the Pigasus has been largely completed. Like the Little Green Man, there are some aspects of the construction that would make it a little too difficult for the younger model rocketeers. For example, gluing the two part wings and legs and pressing overnight, beveling the root edges of the ears and wings, and the unusual configuration of the wings to the body tube. But another good parent/child project. Anyway, I need to primer and paint these beauties before I can finish the rest of the detailing.

The fin configuration:

The wood has been filled and sanded prior to assembly, so it's all downhill from here!

To be continued.

Great work!
You are right, these aren't ARTF or Skill Level 1 kits.
Both are still very popular. At club launches, the cameras always come out.

Being from Arkansas, with a son in the University of Arkansas Razorback Band, I think it is almost a requirement that I do a Pigasus at some point.

Cool pics. :cool::cool::p

Good luck with your Pigasus, kurinin! I was in Hog Heaven with mine until I had some paint wrinkle (discussed elsewhere on this forum). i thought I'd be doing decals last night, now I'm just letting it cure for a couple of days, I'll try to sand it out and touch it with a light recoat.

Zoiks, thanks for reminding me. I completely forgot about this and set it aside.
Miss Pigasus has been eyeballing me for over a year.
Time to wrap these up!

Hmm. We may have to refer this most important matter to the HCM to determine his intent. But if he leaves it to us, I have another problem. The female features could be added to yours relatively easily, but I have young grandkids, and adding the corresponding appurtenances to mine would not only be ugly and crude, but very high drag!

Someone needs to make a bacon-smelling motor. A flying pig that smells like bacon would be a great way to start the launch day.

In fact, adding smells to motor exhaust might even allow fine-tuning of the entire hobby's attractiveness (or repugnancy!).

Darn that was good coffee. To celebrate this eureka moment, I'm getting a ham sandwich.

The Pigasus was designed as a Male pig or Boar.
Years back I was in the underground costume facility at Walt Disney World.
With all the character heads lined up on a shelf - I noticed the only real difference between the Mickey and Minnie Mouse heads was big eyelashes and lipstick.
I guess you could put lipstick on a pig after all.

Minnie has a bow! :)

Well, we have the definitive word of the designer now, but in this day and age, perhaps he could allow for some ... fluidity ... I mean, it's paper and balsa after all, despite my fond hope of Piglet-asuses (or is it "Piglet -asusi"). See, if I could justify a trip to Hawai'i to have our Pigasuses mate... My Pigasus is tickled pink just thinking about it
