Title says it all. Only asking because of production issues that might arise, NOT because of any contamination issue which is NOT a factor.

My Trajector box says (in tiny print): Made in Guangdong, China.
I think that was formerly called Canton.
It's a province, don't know what city.

Considering all imported consumer goods "Made in China", I think it's safe to say model rockets wouldn't be the first channel of concern.
It isn't, I was just curious. I also went to the Estes site and saw nothing on sale.

Stupid me. I have all kinds of unbuilt kits and didn't look at a package because I didn't think they'd be that specific. Usually it's just "Made in China."

Anyway, here's the scoop on that area of China:

Southern Guangdong province, just across from Hong Kong and home to international giants such as Apple supplier Foxconn, is the second-worst affected province after Hubei, with 1,339 cases of the coronavirus confirmed and five deaths. [as of 24 Feb 2020, they have 1,345 confirmed cases, 6 deaths (I really doubt that; should be 25-30 according to usual death rate), and 986 recovered - W].

China’s southern economic powerhouse of Guangdong lowered its public health emergency response to the Covid-19 epidemic on Monday, offering relief to some businesses.

A Grade I alert – the highest level – had been in force for a month and the decision to lower it to a Grade II was matched by five other provinces and came amid a government push to get the country’s economy moving again.

On Sunday, President Xi Jinping addressed tens of thousands of officials across the country in a rare teleconference in which he told them to vary disease control measures depending on local conditions, and to downgrade emergency response levels where possible.

Guangdong, which neighbours Hong Kong, has been the worst-hit province after Hubei, the epicentre of the outbreak, with 1,345 confirmed cases of infection and six deaths. But the number of new cases reported each day has fallen to single digits over the past week.

Go back to work too early to save the economy, start the epidemic all over again.

I was sad to see that Estes kits are made in China. I guess I assumed model rockets were a small enough niche industry that they’d actually be made in Penrose.

You don't know how expensive American made california-edible plywood and balsa gets

Americans demanding $15 an hour with health benefits is too expensive, vs Chinese labor. NOT getting into the politics of it all.

Cool! Thanks for the info. And there's somebody spinning a good yarn of a story over in how far can you take this hobby!
