Team - long time to chat.. life gets in the way, yadda yadda...

I finally bit, and bought myself a 3d printer, so I am working on lots of CAD fun with Fusion 360..

I am looking to make some sleds for my Eggfinder Minis, Eggtimer Quantum's and RRC3..

Here's the ask: does anyone have decent 3d CAD models for these three units that I can import as the start of my avbay 3d printing designs?

Eggfinder Mini
Eggtimer Quantum
Missileworks RRC3

Cheers.

I was just thinking "What happened to the other Aussie on TRF?" the other day...

Good to hear from you. And great question. I'm working on AV bays for my Quantums right now too. A CAD file of the altimeter would be really helpful.

I've got a rough one for the Quantum. PCB, mounting holes, and larger components are included. What format do you want? I can do STEP, SAT, and IGES. I'm relatively new to this forum, but it appears the "Upload a File" button doesn't allow me to upload STEP files....

STEP files work. Zipping is your friend. Failing that, DM me and I’ll give you my email address. I have a server I can host the files on and put a link back in.

Otherwise - maybe submit the files to grabcad- that’s what their site is for! [emoji4]

Attached are some files that I have used in TinkerCAD, not to duplicate the devices, but, to stand in as a reasonable facsimile to model the mounting holes and overall O/D dimensions. The format is limited in the export function from TinkerCAD, so these are in .stl and the zip file is in the .obj format. I may add more details, if so I will upload them to my Thingiverse, which has some models that may be of interest https://www.thingiverse.com/VonPitter/designs

Thanks Andrew, I've been looking at having to make a quantum CAD file; now I won't have to.

I posted a request to allow .step uploads over in the forum feedback area.

Here are the 2D reverse engineered dims of the WiFi switch. Will work on a CAD file in the next week, unless someone beats me first.

Angie says .step and .stp files can now be uploaded directly!

I have a drill guide for the SLCF and RRC2+ and RRC3.
Please post them! I'm fixing to make some machined aluminum sled trays and am looking for outlines and mounting hole patterns for SL100, SLCF, RRC3 and almost all Eggtimer products. We've already got a decent start in this thread...STEP files strongly preferred. We might actually want a dedicated thread for electronics CAD files. Solder cream files are also great; Eggtimer has published a couple.

CaveDuck, here's my SLCF.

I'm working on a 3D printed AV-bay for my Estes Argent. It'll feature an Eggtimer Quark. I'm also working on learning Fusion 360 in order to do the design. I've drawn up a rough Quark in Fusion to size up the AV-bay, measured off my actual Quark. I'll post the file once I check it's accuracy with a 3D print, but here's a render of the Quark out of Fusion. Fusion is pretty easy once you get started.

Hello, looking for a reference CAD or drill guide for RRC3 Sport, if anyone has one, please share it here.

Here is the RR

Here is the RRC3 in .dwg for AutoCAD...

I also have done the following: RRC2+, RRC2L, RTx, LCD, AeroPack 29, 54, 75 and 98mm retainers, CTI Gen 2 54-98 hardware, SCPrecision 55x98 thrust plate, lots of nose cones and other stuff. I use them for scratch builds to make sure everything fits were it is supposed to.

My thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/christinez_42/designs) has some weird odds and ends

thank you.

Hello,
I was wondering If you could also send the model of the RRC2+ that you had as this is fairly difficult to find
