Watched that a dozen times - I want that dog.

I went to school with a kid who lived in a farm. They had a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Sam.

He rode the dog like a horse around the farm from 3-6 years old. From 6yo to 13yo he played rugby with Sam.

You’d grab the ball and start running - she’d give you a head start, then run you down and knock you over with her paws pushing on your shoulders from behind.

You’d drop the ball. She’d grab it and wait till you got back on your feet, then she’d book it, and then after a bit she’d slow down enough for you to catch up - you’d have to crash tackle her, she’d drop the ball, you grab it, and the process would start again.

As opposed to wearing a face mask to stop a virus, you could just tape a piece of chicken wire or window screen over your face and achieve the same effect. For what it's worth though, the CDC has stated that they believe the coronavirus is primarily being spread through the digestive tract. The usual fecal to oral route seems to be the culprit. This is true with so many epidemics. Simple things like washing one's hands after using the bathroom make a huge difference. I'm truly grateful to live in a country with advanced sanitation and waste treatment. Modern plumbing and sanitized water supplies keep so many people alive in the face of dangerous diseases.

Can't stand it when I see men pee and then walk out the door without washing. :angiefavorite:

More people should realize that OR staff were surgical masks to protect the patient, not themselves. They keep pathogenic microbes in, not out. And, if it's not airborne that that isn't doing any good either. And viruses are way smaller than bacteria; I for one don't know of they do any good to keep airborne viruses in. And the last I heard it's not yet known if this virus can be transmitted by someone who's asymptomatic but probably not, and anyone who is symptomatic shouldn't be out in public. Put it all together and the masks are probably doing no good at all.

Also, it appears that while the new virus is scary because it is new, this one seems to be less deadly than the flu. The next one: who knows?
