The Edmonton Rocketry Club is hosting AARM - 50 this coming summer, July 11 adn 12 near Morinville, Alberta (about 34 km north of Edmonton) Events will be:

A parachute duration
A streamer duration
A altitude
B boost glider
D egg loft
Scale
Open spot landing

These are (to the best of my recollection) similar to the events that were at AARM 1 in 1970 (spot landing substituted for the old "design efficiency" and eggloft added)

Rules will follow the NAR pink book

There will be a Jr. and Sr. class

You know that I’d love to attend, just too busy with other events this summer. Perhaps AARM - 51?

AARM-50 Postponed until July 10 & 11, 2021

Hi everyone, I wanted to update you all on AARM-50.

Due to these unprecedented times the Edmonton Rocketry Club is sad to inform you that AARM-50 has been postponed.
AARM-50 has been rescheduled for July 10 & 11, 2021. Please checkout our website for updates: https://www.edmontonrocketry.net/aarm-50 or our Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/AARMRocketry

Registration will reopen on January1, 2021. https://edmontonrocketryclub.regfox.com/aarm-50

"Alberta has restricted gatherings to protect Albertans’ health and limit the spread of COVID-19. A gathering is any event or assembling that brings people together in a single space at the same time. No gathering of more than 15 people is allowed in one indoor or outdoor location."

I know this sucks, but I hope we can all get together soon. For those contimplating on what to build for AARM-50 now have over a year to get their builds done... like me ;).

The correct call (unfortunately). Given the years notice, 2021 could be doable from Toronto.
Take care and stay safe.

Sav, you really need to come to this! Convince Taras and Peter as well!

The World Championships are next August in Romania and I doubt that Taras or Peter would be available. I am not really interested in going and could convert that trip to a jaunt out to Western Canada. Time will tell.06 Cineroc - 03.jpgCineroc launch at Arizona Cup.jpg07 - 02.jpg
