any oversized shipment get the big increase
I had one quoted by ups to be $75, USPS was $35
14" × 18" x 4" wouldn't be considered "oversized ", nor would sub 12 pounds be considered "overweight ". So why the $80 quote is my question?

Apologies for that, missed the inches (") . Was not 14 feet, was actually 14 inches. That would change things entirely..

Anything over 48” is oversized. That’s a direct quote from UPS service center. I wouldn’t ship UPS store. They up charge everything. If convenient, go to a service center. You’ll find shipping a bit less. Also if you have an eBay account, you are eligible for UPS account and rates are discounted.

14" x 18" x 4" is what I had and it weighed 11.87ish pounds on the certified scale at my shop. I was qouted $64.52 and $80+ from UPS and an independent carrier. Happy Holidays to all!!
