Hi guys! We are desinging our rocket. Our aim is to reach 3000 m. Now we are dealing with desinginin nose cone. do you guys have any suggest or trick for nose cone desing.
 
I'd say mess around in OpenRocket or whatever your simulator is and do whatever catches your eye and gets the best result. Also, the body design and its size is what matters most to the altitude. Just use your simulation program to mess around with the best design is my suggestion.
 
Least expensive nose cone for Mach flights...I use a 2.5 liter Shasta soda bottle for my 4" minimum diameter cardboard tube fin rockets held together with only Elmer's School Glue. Epoxy and nose cones are over-rated ;)

Good for at least Mach 1.56 flights on an L-1150 motor
