Hello all,

I am member of Oregon Rocketry (OROC). I hope to be doing a trip throughout the USA this year to take in as much rocketry as I can. I am interested in which local clubs have launches. In particular if a club has a premiere launch. Like OROC's NXRS or TCC's Dairy Air. This will be challenging to try to come up with a route that doesn't involve a lot of back tracking so I am asking for info on club launches everywhere.

Tripoli San Diego is hosting our annual Holtville Havoc 3 day launch the first weekend of March. See the attached flyer.

This is exactly what I hoped for. Just posted this morning and already 3 replies- THANK YOU!!

UROC (Utah Rocket Club) has about 7 launches/year. Winter too cold, summer too dry, monthly launches spring and fall. Our Premiere launch is Hellfire, held on the Bonneville Salt Flats. This year we are hosting LDRS 39. LDRS 39/Hellfire 25 will be 30 July - 02 August. Club website is UROC.org.

Thank you 75. LDRS is definetly on my list. Its curious that you say summer is too dry but LDRS is at the end of July.

UROC has two great launch sites. Frank Hunt Field, the desert site named after a long time member of UROC and located on the trail of the Pony Express, is available when it’s not too dry. Dry results in fire restrictions. Then once a year we get to fly on the Salt Flats. Interestingly, the Salt Flats are too wet the rest of the year, almost always with standing water.
