Hmm, some light reading! Seriously though, that's neat stuff. What I find amazing is this thing came back from orbit... When it is landing in Florida, for instance on the last flight, it came over Winter Haven at 90,000 ft and Mach 3, and a few minutes later did a dead-stick landing at the Cape. No second chance, no go-around. Compare to us on an airliner: easing down from 35K or so and cutting back from 0.87 mach, and taking a half an hour or so to get to the ground...
