What is the length of the Wolverines? I think the plumber Greg Olson flies an old one once in a while at Bong.
Every once over the summer launches I would here Frank say the launching of a Wolverine. Wasn't sure if it was a old LOC rocket. The original Wolverines were 37" of airframe and the short (13") cone, so 50". The *coming soon* Wolverines have 34" of airframe and utilize the long (21") cone, so 55".
I *think* Greg's is a Minie Magg with the long cone, but I could be wrong. Here's an old Wolverine at Hellfire 1!
...and the fin can of the new Wolverine.
As much as I love the Minie Magg design, I think the Wolverine is similar, yet superior in many ways. I think it's going to be a popular, large yet lightweight demo rocket...which will be a "go-to" sport rocket for I-J flights at Da Bong and beyond.
Greg I thought it was you. The Wolverine lives on. I will need to get one. Good rocket for the Bong.Hi Gary. That was how the kit was sold, as a Loc Wolverine. Until now I didn't know that the original kit was taller!
Assuming the original LaserLocs pre-dated common laser cutting of ply fins, were they named thus because they flew fast and straight, perhaps...? (Or am I just overthinking this?)
The fins look to have changed shape. New fin looks nice. When Wii they be ready for the market? The original Wolverines were 37" of airframe and the short (13") cone, so 50". The *coming soon* Wolverines have 34" of airframe and utilize the long (21") cone, so 55".

Either way, intrigued by the Loc Wolverine, which I'd never heard of before...
Is the Wolverine ready for Dual Deploy? As noted above the Wolverine went live last night. We wanted to give our vendors a head start to order up before we announced anything.
We're hoping the Laser's will be ready by February. There's a few in the field being tested as they'll have some conceptually new construction techniques that we've never seen offered from a manufacturer. Based on feedback it may be something we offer along other lines as well. Plans are for a 1.6 and 2.1" minimum diameter. With the 2.1 being fully dual deploy ready along with some other "add-on's"...

You could be right, as stated it was sold as a Wolverine. I didn't know that the Wolverine was originally taller. I've never seen pictures or spec sheet of the Badger. Thanks for the info. Greg
EricGary: simple single deploy. I'm planning to use motor ejection and a Jolly Logic chute release for CHAD dual deploy.
I foresee Wolverine drag races this spring and summer. Legal of course.
Is it listed under 5.5" kits on your website? I don't see it...As noted above the Wolverine went live last night. We wanted to give our vendors a head start to order up before we announced anything.

BadgerIf yours is smaller, it might not be a Wolverine at all. Might be a Badger.
