In my apparently never ending quest to build (and miss launch dates) I decided at some point I will need a 75mm kit. In my own defense, I think like most I am addicted to building. My ONLY experience with anything other than Estes (and a Go Devil 29 from Madcow and Loc IRIS) has been with Mike at Mac Performance (6 kits, and now 4 self designed or mostly custom orders). The canvas phenolic is amazing to work with and is incredibly strong and durable. I am convinced that his kits, materials, and service cant be beat, so why change a great thing?

For this one I knew that when/if I am certified and then able to fly it, I would want it to have the potential absolutely scream. After quite a bit of back and forth, along with a few long phone conversations, Mike and I came up with a heavily modified version of his 3" Zodiac. The Zodiac Wild. 75mm minimum diameter.

I will be learning some new techniques with this, and it will likely be quite a long build, running concurrently with a couple others that may or may not get build threads. For now, I figured I would introduce the bird, along with the Open Rocket file. Of course the file is just a starting point.

I am looking forward to this. Sometime this year I'm going to do a 75mm MD bird, might be my L3 project as well. Nice kit!

Thanks! I know where you can get one....... is there a rule saying you have to build you L3 AFTER you build your L2? Asking out of my own curiosity. Do you have a build/kit in mind?

I've only dealt with aeropack which are really nice.

I really want nothing on the outside but fins, so I think I will go with internal, I love all the standard aeropack retainers so I expect their internal ones to be awesome as well

I think you have to be a L2 prior because it requires paperwork and plans to be submitted and approved prior to building. I could be wrong
I was going to do a Mach3 kit

For NAR, L3 requirements state:
An individual may not submit a design for a Level 3 Certification project review to the L3CC
until Level 2 certification has been successfully accomplished.
