Secret Santa 2019

List Updated. There is still a few Santa's that have not reported getting anything yet. Hopefully they all get their goodies today!

At some point however Santa showed up and left a package directly from the North Pole.
Mark me received. A long box. Kit sized box.
Whew. That was close.

Merry Christmas, 1233 here. No I haven't opened mine yet, just got done building Emmy's new doll house. Holy cow it's huge. Now off to bed so I can wake up at 6AM to get the smoker going.

Looks like I am the first one up this morning. Before I got a change to get up my wife took it upon herself to open up my Secret Santa gifts that were sent my way!

Thank you conspirators for the brand new RMS 29/40-120 motor casing. Somehow the one I have got lost during my last move and so far I have not found it, even when I was looking for something else! Also in the box was a G76-7G reload, a pack of C12-4 Q-Jets, and a pack of Fire First Jr. igniters.


Someone else sent me a box full of Estes Rockets . Included in the haul was as follows: Executioner, Nike Apache, Astron Elliptical II, Estes Crossbow SST, Estes Citation Patriot, STM-012, a Conquest, and a 2019 Estes Ornament.

I am really excited about the Conquest. For some reason, and I told my wife recently, I really wanted to get this kit, but decided to wait till after Secret Santa to see if I got one. And I did! Thank you. I was also eyeballing the Citation Patriot at Hobby Lobby the other day

This loot is what I got before I left for my Christmas vacation. The rocket motor goodies was delivered to my brothers house because the lead conspirator asked me for the address of where I was staying so I was able to get it before I got back from my trip Thank you all!

Rocket Junkies I am so happy to have won the Papa Elf Special this year, the contents were beyond any expectations I might have had!
There are a lot of kits, I kinda lost count.
Kits from LOC including a MEGA Initiator, I did not even know they made that!
Lots of Estes kits including an Executioner, a wizard, a boosted big bertha, a black brandt and many others.
A Flis Kits Shadow lord, and charge cups and bulkhead wire retainers from Rocket Junkies.
Thanks to Papa Elf for putting this together, and thank you to all of the donators.

Opened my gift to find a Wildman Mini Darkstar with the dual deploy upgrade!! Thank you so much to my Secret Santa!! Love those Darkstar kits!! I think maybe an AT I-205 for the maiden!! Thank you again too my SS. If anybody recognizes the handwriting I will take some helpful hints.

Another RRC2+ to add to the collection! Thank you so much SS! Getting closer to all my DD rockets having their own altimeters! Lol


I have no idea who to guess, but the gift wrapping was much appreciated!

As for my Secret Santa’s identity, i have been able to eliminate a few participants based on information posted here, but there are still far too many to make any sort of reasonable guess. I may see who reveals themselves to see how much i can winnow the field.

Still waiting to see an update from my giftee... (hint, hint)

The Mega Initiator is from Aerotech. I guess they use LOC parts?

Had my family wrap up the box from my SS.

Inside was a Quark
Even better it is fully soldered up with a JST connector and ready to go.

My guess is Eric since his profile says California and the package came from California

Good try, but It wasn't me... Although, I do Mark and reinforce my JST leads like that.

Also, its a Quark. Not a Quantum. PM me if it didnt come with the three jumpers, I have extra.

I got plenty of jumpers anyways from various projects and such so I'm fine.

Thank you to my secret Santa! I got a mach1 speed demon kit that I am super excited about. I almost bought one of these for myself but decided to hold off and glad I did.

This was definitely one of the highlights of my day.

So my Mach1 kit had some extra parts included... jqavins, are you my Secret Santa?

I got a MDRM, Toby V version. Pretty much about as short, fat, and draggy as they come.
I shouldn't have to mod it upgrade much..
It's got a 38mm
It's got a nose cone bay
I will change out the shock chord and chute, and use a different paint scheme. There will no homage to the German war machine or the Red Baron. I'll keep with my Fallout theme of my other 4" stubbies.

No clue who my Secret Santa is. It seems said person went through great lengths to conceal his identity. The shipping label said it came from the Pole and was sent December 7th (I think it was). But it didn't arrive until the 23rd. The box was in great ship, not what one expects from something being carried around for two weeks by whichever carrier that delivered it.

I got a LOC Magnum. Very cool. Many thanks. I've already whittled and sanded the mold marks off the node cone and sanded the centering rings a bit, as they were too tight. Before I go any further I'm contemplating motor retention options.

There is something odd. Inside the box is a sticky note that says "Secret Santa. 1 of 2". I'm not trying to say that I'm owed anything, just that something may have gone astray. Or maybe something like my SS ordered item 1 for the gift and item 2 for him/herself, which is fine of course.

Many thx to my SS for the $40 Madcow gift certificate! This will come in very handy in the near future.

On a side note: My future Fiancée told me on Christmas morning that she will order two Wildman $50 gift certificates for me. With the $10 bonus that comes with each of those, I will have enough for my Eagle Claw Sport + some supplies.
