I have a faded colour film photo marked April 1978 that one of my relatives took. He is now dead, and I never met him, but I hear from other relatives of mine that he always took photos of weird, seemingly random things. I am guessing that it may be a Saturn V rocket, but I am not sure, so I decided to ask the rocket people if they could tell. Sorry that the image is sideways, that's just what my scanner always does for some reason. IMG_2157.JPG

Very definitely a Saturn V. In front of the VAB at KSC by the looks of it. Thankfully, this one was restored and moved indoors many moons ago...

Agree with Mugs that it’s a Saturn V in front of the VAB at KSC. Judging by the paint scheme on the first stage, I believe it can only be SA-500F or SA-500D. I don’t know of any other Saturns with the solid black stripe on the intertank.

Since 500D was sent to Huntsville in the early 70s, I think this is 500F.

That particular "Saturn V" is known as "500F" . . . It was a non-flying Mock-UP, intended for Training and Practice with the VAB and the LUT.

You can spot it instantly by the paint pattern on the S-1C Booster
