Splitter Splatter?
Longer (!)

I'm not sure if the extra fins make the fin can just a bit too busy. Maybe I should just make them smaller.
Finding the balance is always the trick.Sometimes adding things takes away the overall coolness of the design, at least according to Les S. Moore.
Split the difference
I have fiddled with them further and I agree: too busy. Not a fan of the extra inter-fin fins
Love the lines! Paint? Perhaps vanta black with the name in red letters?? - simple but fits the design. What are you going to call it?Wanted to do a simple sport rocket, also curious to see what I could do with split fins. Came up with this, as yet unnamed. Would need a good paint job.

No name yet. Open to suggestions! What are you going to call it?
Ugh, you just ruined it.So its a fancy trajector now
First fiddles (paint scheme is completely temporary here):
Sorry, but someone-who-shall-not-be-named has put the kibosh on that paint scheme. I will come up with something else. In the meantime, here it is without the red in an attempt to cleanse the palate (or palette):Personally, I really like the lower model (with the rings around the pods, and without the intermediate fins). Very sharp! And I know you said it is a temporary paint scheme, but I like the super plain look with the red accented pods.
I never liked those Trajector pods, probably why I was drawn to the Accur8 NASA skin which dispensed with them.I like the rings and pods. And the pods are more like the Starship Excalibur than the Trajector. The Trajector had those dopey looking bowling pin orange pods.
Well, unique is good, but *good* is better. I haven't decided if they've earned their place yet. Just getting started with this one.I don't think I've ever seen pods inside a ring. You could make your mark here.
With the black and white paint scheme, it reminded me of Tilikum, the Killer Whale, so I was thinking “BlackFish”.Sorry, but someone-who-shall-not-be-named has put the kibosh on that paint scheme. I can't decide if I like the rings around the pods, although it's a design element I've wanted to incorporate at some point. Gonna let this marinate for a while.
I'll try to work them in. They are distinctive. Note, however, that they change this rocket from being "refreshingly easy to paint" into "god damn these stupid rings".I'll be disappointed if you don't use the rings around the pods.
I think if the rings stay, the intermediate fins go. It's too busy with both.Like others, I'm not a fan of the intermediate fins as shown
This is a cool name if I stay with a black-dominated paint scheme. That just might stick. With the black and white paint scheme, it reminded me of Tilikum, the Killer Whale, so I was thinking “BlackFish”.
Hmm, hadn't even though of that direction, interesting to ponder. In that case this goes from being a deep space probe to some sort of missile or torpedo I think. There’s something kind of evil or lurking about your model with the black white grey scheme.
Surprisingly, I am not digging the red. I like the white rings, ditch the strakes/supernumerary fins, and leave the long continuous black from nose tip to beginning of the fins. That’s what gives it the sinuous creature from the depths of Poseidon look.I'll try to work them in. They are distinctive. One idle thought...

Note that the grey fins were originally entered purely to make them more visible against the black airframe. I'm not crazy about them. As for the red, I think I'll experiment with leaving the colored tips (not necessarily red) on the pods but removing from the nose. That might be good. I'm a long way from settling down on this one.Surprisingly, I am not digging the red. Part of it is the best mix of simplicity and complexity. Keeping the nose and body simple sets off the fins and rings in the aft section.
