Anyone build one of these? I will be soon, just wondering what someone else's experience was with it.
Anyone have the instructions and a Rocksim file for it? I await delivery and am anxious to start!
This is your first Wildman kit, isn't it? They don't come with instructions, just bunch of fiber glass parts and sometime (like with the some Jrs) a small bag full of parts. Look up some of Crazy Jim's (blackjack2564) Wildman builds to get an understanding of how to build a fiberglass rocket properly. There are also some generate instructions off of the "Download" link on the top of the Wildman page.
Please find attached my Lance Beta OpenRockSim file. I used the double dip method for attaching the big fins, as I was concerned about having too much rear weight if heavy fillets or injection methods were used.
Stickershock is running a sale again for Black Friday rockets, so it's 25% off what's on the site.
Thanks for the heads-up! I’m looking at an L3-worthy kit, and Wildman has some tempting choices. Are the tubes nice and square on his kits? I have a drill press but no easy means of squaring glass or CF tubing should that be necessary.
I would suggest you start another thread to ask this, but you will not go wrong with his kits. I have built a few of them (like 10) and they just keep flying.
The Darkstar Extreme I have flown on three different M motors. From a M840 (18,500', personal record) to an M3700 which screamed off the pad. My wife has an Extreme Wildman for her L3 and it is going together well.
