So why am I offering a line cutter you might ask?
I have been told for years that I should come out with a line cutter for those that like to "burrito wrap" a parachute and go drogue-less or for doing dual-deployment using a single parachute by "reefing" the parachute to be used as a drogue/streamer and then releasing it to become the main. The point that was made was that even though the Tender Descender does work, it was not the best device to do this with. Frankly I have been very resistant to doing an inexpensive line cutter for many reasons. First and foremost was that there was already the aluminum bodied "Arch Type" cable cutter out there.
This last summer I was told that the Arch Type cable cutter was no longer being sold (Now it seems that someone else is making either the same one with a different name or a close copy.) so I began to re-visit this idea and the Precision Machined all Stainless Steel Construction Piranha is what I came up with!
