Over the weekend at the TNT launch I flew my Wildchild on a CTI G83. After that launch I decided I am going to rename it to Scalded Dog... Because she took off like one. Man that was a fast rocket. After the launch the LCO turned to me and asked if that was really a G motor.

Fortunately I had a radio tracker in it because it landed at least a mile and a half away from the launch site. I was going long enough trying to recover it that a search crew was sent out looking for me. I made it back on my own while they were looking for me.

Anyhow, kind of curious how high and fast it went. I am currently at work with no sim software and my computer at home is down waiting on me to replace the video card. Can someone run a quick sim on the Wildchild with the G83 please.

Thanks,

Tim Sapp

From Thrust Curve:

Cesaroni G83 Weight - 639g Launch - 57ft/s Velocity - 495ft/s Accel - 15.0G Altitude - 2,473ft Time - 11.8s Delay - 10s

Back with a laptop, I ran a sim on Open Rocket using the Rocksim file from the Wildman site. I built my WildChild a long time ago, and didn't create or adjust each component on the sim before it was complete and don't have an accuratefile for my WildChild. I think the tubing is lighter now than when he first released the Minis, so mine might come in heavier than yours anyway. The Open Rocket prediction is similar to the results from Thrust Curve.
